the myth of narcisstic heroism is a myth.
we have that in our culture in america
and reality doesn't work that way
and that's why we have people not understanding the harm of authoritarianism
and that's why we have trump.

Trump does have an unsettling tendency to make ill-considered off-the-cuff comments about things he knows nothing about. Nonetheless, bleach is effective against viruses. Trouble is, it kills the patient along with the virus.

It's unfortunate that Trump doesn't have a filter been ideation and speech. Fortunately, he seems to back away from his dumber pronouncements quite readily.

He's worse than a Trump supporter. He's a Trump supporting troll who delights in twisting virtually any argument or evidence you put forward into a pro-Trump position.

Most people learn how to moderate what they say and use an ounce of intellect before opening their mouth. They acquire this skill long before adulthood....about the time they enter preschool.

Well bully for you. Guess you don't operate a small business that interfaces directly with the public. If you did, lockdown would not seem like an inappropriate description- just ask Shelley Luther. But I am supremely unsurprised at your caviling over choice of words when people are indeed locked out the ability to sell their services to their willing customers- it's just what I would expect of you.

  6. What shocks me is that we're not seeing a massive black market. We have a small one around here that's comprised of not so subtle grumblings on FarceBook and coordination that could just as easily be for pot, but it's for farm fresh eggs or a hair cut.

Trump is so stupid he might just try it on his TV set while watching MSNBC or CNN

  8. King George?

  9. He lacks common sense. His first car was a limousine after all. So I'm not shocked when he can't open a ketchup packet. But assuming he's "stupid" is why he's president. And it's why he'll win the next election.

And prioritizing people being able to sell their services to their willing customers over the danger of spreading the virus is what we'd expect of you. It isn't an easy situation to solve. Some businesses are riskier than others: e.g., barber shops and beauty salons, massage parlors and other activities involving close quarter contact. Those things have opened up in my state, and I had my first haircut since February. I wore a mask, so did she. I had to wash my hands extensively berforehand and used hand sanitizer. That was last Tuesday, and so far, no symptoms. Certainly the risk of recession is something we want to avoid along with keeping ourselves safe. I think ideally the decisions should be made on the basis of scientific risk analysis, where risks and benefits are quantitatively analyzed according to models that would weigh health costs against benefits of alternative actions.

So, how long do you think you are you going to do that for?

Wear a face mask when you get a haircut.

    3 months, 9, months, 10 years?

Serious question, because that's also something that can be measured, and the probability you won't after 3 months, predicted

Jeez, ain't that the truth? He's argue with any Democrat; but, he never wants the Democrat to turn Republican. It sure looks like an effort to disrupt and nothing more, huh?

Government should work for everyone, not just small business owners. Public safety is for all citizens and the primary reason behind the idea of human beings having a functional government. Human beings left the wilderness and "State of Nature" style of living to join civil society for reasons of public safety. Today the nimble brained colloidal silver consuming evangelicals who support Trump after drinking a slug of disinfectant seem to have trouble with a government which protects all its citizens with uniform equality.

Until our governor tells us the risks to public safety have been reduce enough. How's that for a clear answer? Do you have clear answers in your country?
