I like your posts and perspectives! I dream of the day when all the bigoted Trump supporters who drank the koolaid will be discarded to the dustbin of history. They certainly have worked at maintaining their ignorance in the face of mountains of evidence.

  2. I do actually. But I also see the cause, he lets people talk him into ridiculous appointments (like Jeff Beauregard Sessions of the 10 Commandments) and he assumes that bureaucrats and appointees are non-partisan public servants (in reality he thinks we're all servants).

  3. It was Fla Vor Aid actually.

Trump fired or transferred the captain of an air-craft carrier, because the captain had called for help pursuant a Coronavirus outbreak on board the ship. The man's replacement who had been hand picked by Trump and the Trump underlings arrived in Guam where the ship docked to call the former captain "stupid." Well, the truth always seems to find a way out. Now we know that 550 sailors had become sick on board that ship, because of the contagious disease. And today one of the sick sailors has died. He has died because of Trump's decision to make the Coronavirus out to be some non-serious matter. Coronavirus is serious and people are dying.

  5. This is not the whole story is it now. It's just a talking point that does nothing to explain what actually happened. Kind of like blaming the whole of white America for Smallpox blankets when there is really so much more to that story.

It's like playing a game of mental pong in the internet age.

Thank you Good Friend. Someday when enlightenment has reached the hearts and minds of these Trump supporters the world will become sacred as it once was on the steps of Mount Meru of India. In India they teach that we are all interconnected in spirit and all aspects of life. Any injustice is felt in the hearts of all living things. Any disharmony impacts the lives of all. We need to teach these Trump Republicans that their evil and disregard for all the living beings in this world has got to stop.

No Panic. Trump disbanded, defunded, closed that office, and fired all of the Obama appointees. If my memory is correct, Ron Klain was one of them. He was the top guy on the Ebola Outbreak response team. You can squirm and twist all you want. But the facts are not disputable here and now.

Doesn't the cause you point out here only applies some of the time? Seems like that to me.

  9. Of course, how can anything happen all of the time? Or is that the point of this query? I'm not sure I follow what you're asking.

A single person running a country such as the US and making decisions on everyday matters is doomed to failure.
The remit of the president should be to require each of the 50 states to appoint a head of departments such as health, transport, trade, immigration and other key issues.
These 50 people should then elect a leader to sit in the white house and work with the president, to decide on national objectives in their subjects. This would filter back down the line and produce realistic targets and outcomes.
Assuming that 20 key subjects were involved, the outcome would be 1,000 people steering the country in the same direction. ALL of them experts in their particular field.

    As of January 2018....
Why is Trump’s staff turnover higher than the 5 most recent presidents?
    As of March, 2018:

The turnover rate for top positions has been over 400 people as of April 8, 2020.

Yeah, but not his own house.
Remember, he only hires the best people.

Trump is HIS OWN SWAMP. Trump fires anyone who dares to disagree with his self-tagged "stable genius." He needs his ego stroked and massaged all day - every day.

Luckily for him, he has faithful followers who are very good at "stroking and massaging his ...…………………….. ego."

What I'm amused by is when his lemmings get all lathered up, shouting on TV defending Trump - while the things he does are hurting THEM. How many Trump supporters have lost family or friends with this Covid-19 because of his denial of it's seriouness in the very beginning??? His delay in acting??? Or taking away their health coverage??? LEMMINGS. SHEEP cheering for their own butcher.

The problem is that he does not have the subject experts to represent the differing needs of the 50 states.
I would like to see a situation at state level where (for example) the health representative needed to have a solid medical background to stand for election and only qualified medical professionals were given voting papers.
The problem with the current system is that professionals are too busy to enter the parliamentary system. While a few people may see this as undemocratic, would anyone accept a situation where the passengers on a flight had to select passenger to fly the aircraft.
In addition, I would suggest protecting all non criminal activity in their private life from revelation in public. Is anyone really interested in who their doctor slept with last night.

  17. As usual the rush to judgement and all those silly little "we got him" happy dances were misplaced and everybody should have waited.

Oh well (sorry to shill for Tw!tter)

    Tense times

Before you all crap on about the latest press conference

There is no use rewriting history now, no one was going to be able to convince the US to lockdown in January or February. Even New Zealand, who were the first to do it, didn't start theirs until March 26

I agree with the Donald, you have shit rabid drama focused media in that country

    Which was a total disaster.
In it he showed a propaganda video, called the press guilty, fake, and disgraceful, lied about a non existent Biden apology, bragged about what a great job he's doing, defended his reTweet about firing Dr. Fauci, and claimed he's the "ultimate authority" .
    Bloomberg.
