Trump is rolling out federal funds in a very "red state/blue state" manner... It is being done that way on purpose.
Seduce you? It seems you despise all sources of information, mainstream, social, talk shows, etc. Yet you claim to read "dozens of news sources daily". Why? As you point out they're all bullshit. So how do you know anything about the world? All sources are bullshit. Do you just make things up yourself? As far as the age of bullshit starting with Reagan, try reading some history of the press in the U.S. It's often been bias and sensational...nothing new. Read up on the Aurora General Advertiser. I never said I didn't find fault in "my" sources. Everybody has faults. I never said I idolize anybody. I never said I admire anybody. I do, however, find some sources more credible than others, unlike you who seem to find no sources credible. So again, how do you find out anything about the world...as it's all predictable crap?
When the truckers have nothing to haul, economic recovery is way off down the pike. We are in a depression, for sure.
I don't think you can't hold it against most western leaders for not locking down in januari. What we can hold against some (including Trump) is how they reacted to the fact there was another rigid outbreak outside of China (northern Italy). That was definitely the time to listen to your virologists and other health experts. He willingly bluffed and downplayed it then, like Bolsonaro.
What has my attention is that Trump said around March 04, 2020 that we had only 15 infections and only 1 death, and Coronavirus would just go away. Well, now and 38 days later we have over half a million (500,000) Americans infected and over 19000 dead. That's in 38 days. That also says Coronavirus is very contagious. In turn, that says the government needs to step in. That in turn says Trump is a total fuckup.
Yes, I think its fair to assume he was horribly bluffing there. Which we knew was a common business tactic from him, yet now we can conclude he will apply those tactics on stuff like a (inter)national health crisis too.
Yes Asmo, he wants to cut off the funding to the World Health Organization. He also has seen fit to put taxpayer dollars to expand the war in Iraq. After Iraq demanded that US troops leave, he expanded the number of troops, added missile defense, and put up a $10,000,000.00 reward for a Shia militia leader. That's after Iraq's government told him they don't allow US troops to kill local citizens. Trump told Iraq that if they insist US troops leave, he would confiscate Iraq's oil revenue. His man Pompeo told Iraq that US troops would not leave regardless of what Iraq says. That means USA is conducting an occupation of Iraq and stealing Iraq's oil money.
ASSUME???? This is the President of the U.S.!!! On a matter such as corona virus - as President - it's incumbent upon him to speak the truth AT ALL TIMES. Any President MUST speak clearly and with no room for doubt. That's what a REAL LEADER does in a time of crisis. You don't bluff, kid around, make jokes. ( as he did with his "fake sneeze" and push-off away from Dr. Birx while on national TV. ) What an insensitive tool he is. People that assume Trump was just bluffing when he said the 15 people who had the virus and 1 death - "it'll magically disappear...." are just trying to put up cover for a complete imbecile.
Somebody must have given him the Fruit Fly lesson during an elevator ride. He presented an inversion of a breeding model. It was clearly far more than 1 person from China, it was hundreds. And they traveled all over the planet. Weird he didn't exaggerate the hell out of it but instead chose to simplify the hell out of it.
He was exaggerating his control over the situation... He had no control over the situation in reality.
Sure he did. And when he implemented it, he was labeled a racist using the same playbook as the debunked "Muslim Ban" years before. Then came the nit picking over calling it any any way a disease from China, as if it was some weird off the wall thing he just came up with. Where he lacked control was the advice he got from the CDC and the WHO. Luckily the mayor of New York helped verify the accuracy of what they were saying.
