Trump has identified who is to blame for the CORVID 19 outbreak in the U.S.

    China
    The World Health Organization
    U.S. governors (especially Democratic ones)
    Obama
    Biden
    Liberals
    Millennials
    Many "past administrations"
    The media
    General Motors
    Hospitals, in general
    Jared Kushner
    The states
    The Center for Disease Control
    The Democrats
    An obsolete system

Luckily we have a stable genius to guide us through these trying times.

Its fair to assume the reason for that ban is not an excuse. It's the actual reason.
It's of course entirely ok and even useful to keep an open mind and consider alternative measures or other solutions, but some people (also on this forum) don't know where to stop. They pose their opinions and convictions as truth or fact and basically ridicule and insult not only current safety measures but also the people who think its wise to abide them. Since not every person is as smart or secure, or disciplined or convinced, they might act upon those smartasses ramblings in an unfortunate way.

Want to emphasize of course that banning such users from expressing themselves is not the ideal solution. Just saying the reason is not an excuse, the reasoning behind it is to save lifes. I get that by some this could be perceived as a fake reason to shut people up for the wrong reasons, but then i would ask why conclude that in this instance?

  6. You bring a good point. This really is a poor time to politicize this issue to the point of bad or even deadly advice. As for Diamond & Silk, they're an act, little more. Their shtick is founded on being black and supporting Trump, so it was well-timed and effectively marketed. A real professional job disguised as grass roots.

I didn't see the actual video with their transgression, so I don't know if it was blatant or just a context issue. But I still think Tw!tter would wisely have staff monitoring these two constantly for reasons to silence them. They have done it to scores of people and disproportionately to anyone who seems to so much as hint at supporting Trump. So I'm under no illusion that it's political.

And this goes on in other circles as well. Consider the recent story that tries to paint Trump as a shrewd, cunning investor who just happened to have a portfolio position that includes a company that makes hydroxychloroquine. Even Snopes had to jump in and put the brakes on this pack of engineered falsehood.

What's funny is how fast they jumped for the low hanging "gotcha" fruit. Again. It's as if someone in the Trump administration is strategically leaking these minor issues and inflating them into red meat for the media. You could esaily make a web site dedicated to all the "bombshell" stories concocted about Trump since early 2016. It would be a good place to look before trying to stage another one. To see if it has been done already (like so many of them).

Or we could just make a "Ways to get Trump" thread.

For the record, I can only take about 5 minutes of Tim Pool. He's just a lector.

That would be disturbing if true. Idiots have rights too.

MeAgain post 902 -There aren't enough "like" opportunities for that post !! I'd lean on my "like" button for an hour or so.The comparison of those 2 pics is TRUTH in a nutshell !!

Trump's own mouth gets him into quicksand. Video/audio tape proof.

Ronald Reagan found out about that. When he was president the courts ordered him to release all mentally ill people from prisons, because they were mentally ill but not criminals. That was in the 1980s. Today they just lowered the enlistment requirements and they can go into the armed forces. Some of them actually think they are experts on Coronavirus or Quranovirus.

Stormountainman ^^^^ - Agreed. The way to get better at anything is always to LOWER standards. Now our military???

Our intellectual giant of a President thinks he's an expert on corona virus, the earth's climate, military strategy, etc., etc. And he's said so in news briefings and interviews. He's ".... a very stable genius." Video / audio tape proof.

Interview with Playboy magazine back in the 80's, Trump said this: "The show is Trump, and it's on 24-7." That he is ……… a show. And a stain.

“Donald Trump should have shut down the economy sooner. He has blood on his hands!"

"Look at all the jobless claims the last three weeks, Trump ruined the economy. How reckless of him!"

I don't know if it's the jobless claims so much as the hideous mess dumpster fire that is unemployment compensation. I guess they couldn't bring on data entry personnel fast enough what with the social distancing being whatever it is. I am disappointed in that however. It feels like people should at least be hearing back.

It sort of reminds me a little bit of Instacart (grocery delivery agency). I emailed them and due to high volumes of feedback, it took something like a week and a half to refund some undelivered groceries. The sheer volume of applicants makes it nearly impossible. I saw someone here post that their friend or relative couldn't get the unemployment when they needed it. Hopefully that family or individual had something tucked away...

  13. Yea, this is where the job becomes a no-win scenario for any president. Some, like FDR, fare better than others (like Truman). But all are under a microscope and will catch hell from a media that routinely speaks out of both sides of their mouth with no accountability. Trump has the resources to tie a lot of these outlets up in court for years (or until they are bankrupted). Until he does, what can any of us do but measure our doubts?

  14. While we consider Trump's response, consider the responses from governments in Iran and Pakistan.

Religious pilgrimages were encouraged for both economic reasons (oil is in the crapper) and because both of their governments are in states of confusion over the scientific versus faith aspects of the epidemic. It appears the most hazardous aspect of this virus is stupidity overall.

In a years' time Iraq may be able to walk into Iran and raise a flag over parliament. Pakistan could be a massive open air morgue. And the atmosphere would smell like death, globally, for years. I wonder how many Georgia republicans are already hedging anti-nausea drug stocks.

So free speech is bad and the wealthy should stop it when their feelings are hurt? Sounds like what you saying. Trump fucks up all the time. You either get mad at him or shoot the messenger. I see which one you picked.

If Nazis are allowed to march then why can't Colbert make a joke? Just ignore it since it's not even a big deal.
