Trump's Response to COVID-19

I think that's true to a certain degree. I've observed some people, presumable to be Trump supporters, purposely neglect wearing a mask even when in the presence of those such as myself who are actively social distancing, mask and all. I feel like it's a deliberate/attitudinal issue.

VG, I think that masks are effective. Remember: Healthcare workers wear them. Whether the CDC is recommending them or not, doctors and nurses are leading by example. That's what I go off of...

so you think that the curve flattened despite there being at least 50% of any given population roving about anyway; despite restrictions? Interesting.

I don't want to fool with it, but I believe there are alternate explanations than the virus being less contagious than they're saying.

& cases are on the rise. The curve is going up a lot of places, not staying the same or going down. That's not easily ignored.

STILL not enough testing being done. Not enough test kits - not enough drive-through test sites set up. More Covid-19 cases, more deaths More life-long lung damage, circulatory & organ damage - and now the doctors tell us - possible brain damage and cognitive impairment.

But let's focus on poll numbers instead.

Don't let the TROLLS throw you off the real news. The TRENDS for new cases are going down in the states with Dem governors. The Northeast states and Michigan are trending downward with new cases - states with Rump-faithful REPUBLICAN governors are spiking sharply upwards with new cases. As I posted earlier - Arizona, Texas, Florida, and South Carolina are the global hottest spots for new Covid-19 cases. The reasons? They poo-pooed and laughed at wearing masks, refused to social distance, and opened up all they could open up to suck up to their pied-piper and leader of LEMMINGS - Donald J. Rump. Party-party, pack the bars, crowd the beaches, hit the casinos to gamble your money - and your life - away. Stupidity & arrogance come with a price.

Now those states are overrun with cases - which are still growing in number - and their hospitals are filled and ICU beds are filled. Doctors in those states are begging for help from the Feds - funny. They ought to be marching on the White House to drag the head virus out into the street for all his lies about the corona virus. Rump should be physically forced - mask-less - into a Covid-19 ward and made to watch as people in there fight for their next breath and see what his self-centered, self-serving campaign of downplaying the Covid-19 pandemic has done. I'd love to see Rump end up just like Mussolini did at the end of WW ll - hanging upside-down off a bridge, spat on and ridiculed by the public he so thoroughly abused.

 

News says the USA does not care about human rights and the Trump voters only care about his reelection so they can not accept he is wrong about anything. So yeah kind of.

 

How is this going to effect his base, though?

 

Massachusetts is the bluest state in the nation and we're doing great and opening up.

VG is very sensitive to kitchen utensil relations. Maybe he is making some progress as a person.

 

His voters have already moved on to nationalistic hate. It was a hoax but now it's part of life. At no point did they ask if the president's choices made it worse or why the story changed. Since he did not personally inject Americans with it literally nothing he does matters because in their mind China used a bio weapon on us. Trump has hated China since the 80's. They arguably have better human rights than North Kora or even Russia. So why is Trump OK with those places that are definitely not for freedom and more for a cult like worship of the leader? China actuly gets American dollars and the others don't. Human rights don't matter it's just business and personal ego.

 

And that map just says what? spread out over most of the country, that little pocket in Arizona and Louisiana being the only anomalies that stick out.

There are the numbers that matter more. About 1 in 5 deaths in the world is American. This is because of Trump and the American right wing. He could have made different choices and less people would be dead. He could have listened to doctors and encouraged his voters to be safe. They will not be voting for him now and their relatives are coming. Trump is willing to kill his own voters for his ego.
