The New York Times has reported that Paul Manafort may have received $12.7. million in undisclosed cash from Viktor Yanukovych, former pro Russian President of The Ukraine.

Manafort's name has been found by Ukrainian investigators on handwritten secret ledgers detailing $12.7 million in cash to Manafort from Yanukovych's pro Russian party.

You may have seen The Manchurian Candidate, a movie about a brainwashed POW groomed by the Chinese to become President of the United States. Of course we know nothing like that could ever happen. Some of Trump's critics allege, not that he's brainwashed, but that he seems awfully pro-Russian, pro-Putin. And advocates exactly the foreign policies Putin would want the U.S. to adopt--weakening NATO, denying Russian involvement in the Ukraine, considering ratification of Russia's annexation of Crimea, encouraging Russia to hack emails, etc. And his campaign manager, Paul Manafort, worked for a pro-Russian party and candidate, now in exile. And Trump won't release his tax returns that might disclose his foreign investments. A lot of smoke, but no direct evidence of a fire or smoking gun. And Trump's surrogate, Boris Epshteyn, a Russian-born adviser who has sponsored programs encouraging investment in Russia, who denied on TV that Russia invaded Crimea, says there's nothing to it. So conspiracy nuts should all relax and focus on Hillary's facial twitches.

title says "receives"...then your post says "may have received"

then the actual news story says there's no proof any was received...just that a handwritten ledger exists

Yes, that's why I put the question mark at the end of the title.
So far it seems they have the record of the payment, but no definitive proof yet, such as a bank account.

Meanwhile reports are circulating that Ivanka Trump is on vacation with Wendi Deng Murdoch who it is rumored is Putin's girlfriend...she claims otherwise.

The report originated with Donald Trump posting a picture of the two in Croatia last Sunday.

But as Okie said, so far all we have a bunch of circumstantial evidence that Donald Trump is involved with the Russians. I personally believe he is being used by them without him realizing it as I don't think he is particularly bright. I learned early in life that intelligence and wealth don't necessarily go together.

Even if he would be that oblivious (which I doubt) I don't think all of his advisors are that stupid. Even if he didn't realize them in the first place he probably is thoroughly made aware of all the possibie russian motives.

Being made aware is not the same as understanding.

Realizing is also not the exact same as understanding ;) But I feel we are nitpicking now. The point is even if he would be that stupid not to realize the possibility he is used by the russians it would be pointed out to him. Thus he would realize it is so, either directly or indirectly :p

    I disagree.

Even if it were pointed out to him, I think he would believe he is the one manipulating the Russians. Remember this is the man who called on Russia to illegally hack Clinton's emails. I'm sure he thinks that would benefit his campaign without considering that it could be an immense source of information for the Russians if they were to hack the emails of our government officials, citizens, and agencies.

I don't think he pays much attention to his advisers.
