Trump's been re-elected - now what?

I've given up on trying to make sense of any of it. I'm so disappointed in America.....and afraid for America, too....I just cannot comprehend any woman or minority voting for this bozo.

I try to comfort myself that America voted for change.....and oh boy are they going to get it.

It would be quite so bad if he wasn't such a jackass. I was in the garage pounding on something the other day saying ...."they're eating thuh dawgs, they're eating thuh pets"

He would need someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene as VP in order to deter a would-be assassin from killing him. As it is between Trump and J.D. Vance I'd rather take a "chance with Vance"!

 

The war since October 7 has made an allied stance look complacent. I just read an announcement of who will be ambassador to Israel and somehow it read a little like a tabloid. I want our relationship with their country to make better sense, and I also know that Mike Huckabee can represent that vision too. It isn't good at all for us to support an ally that is war-like, and so we need a very good politician like Mike Huckabee to be our voice. I think Americans are ready for less war and I think Israel is aware too that it's time to build Gaza and to heal. To repair their relationship with Palestinians doesn't need to be so distant, and I think that with lots of attention and zero apathy, disinterest, or neglect the situation will stabilize quickly.

 

If it's a good idea to hire Elon Musk to be an efficiency expert for the Oval Office, then why not:
a. Hire the CEO of Boeing to be Head of the Federal Aviation Administration. (FAA).
b. Don Garlits to be Head of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. (NHTSA)
c. Hire Popeye to be Secretary of the Navy
d. Let Elon Musk replace all government vehicles with Teslas and launch all satellites using Space X LVs

And now the foreign wars. During his election campaign, Donald Trump promised on several occasions to end the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. His statements varied from suggesting that these wars would never have occurred if he had been president, to hinting that he would stop them once in power.

Regarding the war in Ukraine, Trump blames Joe Biden for its continuation, even claiming that he could end it in 24 hours. However, it is clear that Trump does not possess many tools to pressure Russia. His best chance may be to negotiate with Vladimir Putin to obtain a better offer on Russia's territorial demands in Ukraine, if Putin will listen to him.

As for the Israeli war on Gaza, Trump has taken a position of full support for Israel, stating “Israel has the right to win its war against terrorism,” insisting it should “win quickly, regardless of what happens. Israel wants to continue the war, and they should be allowed to finish their job.” So his concept of ending that war is an all-out Israeli victory, and he might help them accomplish that.

We'll see if Trump resolves these conflicts or if he just makes a bad situation worse.

And Matt Gaetz, a man who was under investigation by the DOJ, to head the DOJ!

I'm not into conspiracy theories but I can't help but wonder if Trump is deliberately trying to undermine the government, and if so why?
