Taking away deductions for mortgage interest, taking away the Johnson amendment=allowing churches to politicize their sermons --BUT still be tax exempt, disallowing deductions for charitable giving, etc, etc. If they want to politics and religion---MOVE TO FUCKIN IRAN!!!!!!!!!!

Truthfully, I feel this country is in more danger than in the Cuban Missile crisis, which I remember well. The mentally ill should not have the nuclear codes.

I remember the Cuban Missile Crisis. And that year we actually had a qualified man in the Whitehouse.

Iran will start looking good to us by the time Trump and Pence are through with pillaging our country.

Sounds like the average Trump voter will pay more in taxes but they will vote for his reelection because Jesus is a Republican.

Bullshit? Seems a valid and intriguing question. I would read sincere answers from Trump supporters with interest.

Why is that relevant. Being a Republican doesn't make someone a Trump supporter.

    I despise this idiot

Because 89% of Republicans voted for Trump, 92% of male white Republicans and 91% of the white female Republicans.

These are the days of total polarization and gross generalizations in what we used to call "politics". There was a time when democrats and republicans could join for causes and pass legislation that had real value for Americans. Today it's partisan gridlock which so many of the general public has come to embrace. Even though it's purely destructive to most Americans below the connected wealth threshold.

If you claim to be a republican, you are instantly defined as a racist, a Trump supporter (which is hilarious when you see that so much of the difficulty he faces comes from republicans), a greedy capitalist, you don't believe in science, you think rape victims should deliver and raise the spawn of their rapist, everyone else must learn to believe in your God, you want to bring back slavery and cancel welfare, you want to give everybody guns and you have sex in the dark while wearing pajamas.

If you claim to be a democrat, you're instantly defined as a communist/socialist/anarchist, you're also a gender question mark, you want the borders to be opened wide so everybody on earth can come live in America, you despise CIS people especially if they have the gall to reproduce, you think God is a fairy tale, that everything should be free, that dead baby parts should go to the highest bidder, you think sex is whatever gets you off no matter who it hurts and that old people (especially the white ones) should be exterminated.

There is no middle ground these days, which is most distressing. While I personally think we should all strive to make our own way through life, the economy convinces me that we MUST have safety net programs. As automation makes work obsolete, people still need to eat and the economy still needs them to buy cheap plastic crap to put on their marble countertops. I'm sick to death of the infatuation we have with cars, but who can blame people when the mass transit systems are so disgusting, brutal and depressing? If anything they should be loaded with entertaining distractions (like scantily clad dancers, magic acts and maybe some gambling).

I haven't commuted in over a decade, now I'm in the thick of it for the last year or so. Books on CD help, but everyone around me seems to be watching porn on their phones since it paralyzes them at intersections. And what the HELL is up with these super bright, blinding headlights? Dude, if you are lighting up the whole inside of my car like it's daytime, your fucking lights are way too bright. It's like the latest macho thing I guess, like always ordering the hottest wings on the menu.

    Not to sound too paranoid

But I feel like the lack of middle ground is very much intentional. Most people are so busy arguing with their fellow countrymen they basically have no idea what the government is actually doing
