Muslim women are free to wear hijabs if they choose to, and I'll stand by their right to do so if they wish. But I believe it's a silly thing to do, especially if you live in the west, which is free from a REAL patriarchal society unlike much of the islamic world. In many societies, it's against the law not to wear one. I may have used Jihadwatch, but I also posted a source from NYT so I could at least try to speak your language.
We are told that dressing as someone of a different culture, race, or creed, such as Disney's Moana or a Native American chief with a full feather head dress was a form cultural appropriation, and racial insensitivity. Hence the war on halloween that has been waged. So how is a western, non-arab, non-muslim woman wearing a hijab NOT a form of cultural appropriation?

The only people who would think depicting a woman in a hijab as a sign of solidarity with Muslim women is "cultural appropriation" are AltRight agents provocateurs and Alteft pharisaical assholes not worth our attention (present company excluded, of course). They aren't serious people.

 

The problem is that the alt left are the ones getting the media attention and blowing things out of proportion with false statements and inaspccurate stories... so you are seeing backlash. I think the alt left are extremely shady. And the media supporting them, the media, groups who is backed by Clinton And obama are responsible for this.

I think you will see a turn around in your country, the economy ... jobs... encouraging small business and start up companies. There will be encentives to work instead of keeping people in poverty. There will be potential, but not if no one is willing to try or even give it a chance.

Hey he wants to repair roads... no pot holes for those marches and rallies. repairing the infrastructure before it becomes obsolete can't be a bad thing... he is thinking of the future instead of the temp bandaid. Jobs will open up too.

We are all human. Or calling for killing police. How is this going to bring people over?

Im not sure 6eyed is a Trump voter. But he sure seems to have a problem with the left. He can't resist making it appear the majority of them is as worse as the most extremist/ludicrous ones. It is ruining his more valid points regarding politics. It makes it harder to take him serious.

Personally I do not really know what others mean specifly with the 'alt left' either. Can you give a solid description of what you mean with that when you talk about such a group? What is so alt(ernative) about them.

 

Makes me think of some people during an anti refugee centre protest here in the Netherlands. One of their arguments was these middle eastern refugees will rape our daughters (like happens in Sweden on a regular basis!), some other person called bullshit on using that info as an argument for no refugees at all: then the person who used that argument said well your daughter should get raped and then you will have the same opinion as me!

 

Basically from what I gather from the sot are they are both extremes and have lost sight of the party completely that they claim to represent.... it is Mao vs hitler in their mentality. And newspapers are constantly drawing attention to these left extremists who do not deserve the attention. These papers are supoorted by obama and the clintons. That who is getting the attention and is gaining momentum. They do not deserve a voice, just like Richard spencer doesn't deserve one. and he doesn't get a major newspaper publishing his hate every week as a columnist like the alt left get to speak hate. Alt is for alternative, they are extremists. They don't even rep a liberal philosophy but people think they go. It is all hate fuelled.

 

So why is the alt left not just called extreme left then?

Another thought: if people find it dubious that newspapers give too much attention to these left extremists why are they overly focussing on those leftists themselves, trying to make it appear most of the left is as extreme as them? By quoting the media who so nasty is drawing constant attention to them... Seems a bit weird.

 

Take a paper like the New York Times People trust them right? Believe it, believe them. Huge following.. It is a left paper, or traditionally has been. It is changing to being extreme when they hired on extremists who spread hate and misinformation. . Alt is for alternative. Lol. It sounds better when they call themselves alt. vs. Extremists. Alt left or alt right implies that they are still apart of the party, but the name in its entirety being alternative says otherwise. Alternative meaning different, substitute, other... it is not left or right when they call themselves alt, but align themselves in the name only in hopes of bringing people over to them.

Obama started office in the midst of a major recession bequeathed to him by G.W. during the last months of his last term in office. He faced solid Republican obstruction throughout his two terms in office. But under Obama we did turn the corner, and things were looking up. Let's see what the Republicans do with their total control of the federal government. .
