I'm in Indiana; not even ex-South Bend mayor and presidential nominee Buttigieg is advertising.

This does lead me to believe that we'll be inundated with PAC ads throughout the summer when I'm trying to binge watch episodes of Shameless I missed.

Impeachment was a bad idea from the start. Democrats need Trump as a target to run against. If he was removed from office through impeachment, Mike Pence would be president and he most likely would pick Nikki Haley as vice president. A Pence-Haley ticket without Trump in the picture would actually be hard for Democrats - excuse me, I mean Socialist Democrats - to beat in November. At least a lot harder to beat than Trump. The "never Trump" Republicans would instantly go back to voting Republican because Pence is a traditional Republican. And I say all this as someone who is not a Republican.

Between media influence and big pharma donations, it's hard to tell which direction this election will go. Just know that $1 worth of insulin (what the patent sold for) will still be $500 at the end of the day.

  4. That part is obvious.

Pence is no more a "traditional" republican than Romney. Since the GW Bush fiasco republicans have only demonstrated a consistent talent for losing elections and backing most of the democrat agenda. They are a shell of the fighters they were during the Reagan era. This was really obvious when they selected McCain to face Obama. To ensure his loss, they saddled him with Palin. It was a perfect plan for failure.

Romney put on a pretty good show in 2012, at first. But as he started pulling ahead, he started slowing down, campaigning less and then went missing on election week. It was such an obvious effort to throw the election that I can only wonder how much he was paid to do it. The gaggle of republicans facing Clinton looked like a repeat of the same comedy again. Until Trump stepped in.

It was a pure joy to watch him destroy all those establishment republicans and their dynastic ambitions (like "Jeb" Bush, a complete waste of a chair). He didn't cut them a moment of slack and exposed all the stupid shit as well as the lies going back to Bush 1. Trump saw a threat to his way of life and stepped up to keep republicans from throwing in the towel again. He would have beaten them just as easily if he had run as a democrat, which is basically what he is and has been for decades.
