They seem mostly sincere comparisons to me. Brought up because people really think Canada is better off with their PM than you as an American with your president.
If the threadstarter (and most participants) weren't american themselves this thread might look different. But this is what you get if an american tries to piss on a neighbouring country's leader at this point in time.. using mostly hyperbole, charged statements and (attempts of) humor. So yeah, its not just that its mainly americans in here, its also how you always feel like putting it. Most of the reactions are to be expected that way. You know this too, so why complain about that.
And hey, don't just focus on the bad; at least one canadian is even agreeing with you
