I've never understood beat music like Shpongle. Ugly repetitive timbre and sound effects.. does it suddenly become interesting when tripping or something?

I like listening to this when I'm in groups. Watching peoples reactions like simple head bobs or body sways and then they eventually turn into more exaggerated sways.
