    Hi All

I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and we're looking to name our baby after a tree. We hope it will help him or her be grounded and down to earth. Any ideas?

    Thanks, Love and Peace x

There's Holly, Laurel and Willow, of course. Or Aspen or Elm, maybe? For more unusual names, search for 'types of wood' on Google; some interesting sounding names there I'd never heard of before.

I probably am, in all seriousness, going to name my first born after a tree :)

    Hre's my short list....
Ash, Aspen, Banyan, Cedar, Hawthorn, Hazel, Ivy*, May#, Oak, Reid*, Rowan, Sequoia, Tree, Willow

*Okay not trees per say, but are defined as such in Celtic astrology.
Couple of articles on the subject:

    and

    #Another name for Hawthorn

Great article I've found, on trees and how they relate to paganism. Some neat ideas there, and talks about the meanings behind each one. http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/amethystbt/trees.html

    Hi Mtnhighgirl

Actually Linden is our favourite at the moment for a boy and has been forever. We like Willow for a girl.

    Thanks, Love and Peace x
