I once knew a doctor who worked with sex offenders. I am not a sex offender myself and certainly don't know any either. But you know, sometimes people, certainly in this country, wonder why we "coddle" sex offenders by treating them.

They have paid their debt to society. Or if they are still in prison when treated, they are paying their debt to society. But treatment is important.

This doctor, who was a conservative Christian himself BTW, told me. By treating sex offenders, not only does he help them to lead meaningful productive lives. He also helps them to refrain from reoffending.

I obviously meant I'm not friends with any sex offenders.

Do you mean abstinence doesn't work? Or are you joking (and possibly being sarcastic)?

EDIT: No, I've never committed a sex crime. Is that what you're implying? :)
