Does anybody know how to go about getting work on a ship as a way to travel from the US east coast to South America? A friend mentioned that this would be a cheap (but slow) alternative to flying and much safer than traveling by ground. Any information is greatly appreciated. I would also be grateful for any other advice on the subject, as well. Thanks
