We'll only know how this works out when those kids are older. It's an interesting experiment. The polar opposite of the way education used to be with separate schools for girls and boys, and more or less institutionalized homophobia.
My parents were smart, as there were no restrictions....if my brother or i wanted to play with a toy gun, so be it...if my brother or I wanted to play with a doll, so be it....TV was never restricted, either.....or much of anything, but it was not forced on us what to play with....etc.....wear, etc.....the restrictions came from other places like schools....but the way my parents had it....we were able to fully discover who we were as people.......nothing forced on us or restricted to us.
I think that gender equality is of the utmost importance and what they're doing in the video is taking steps to end inequality.
Funny thing is...my brother had his toy guns and got that out of his system as a child, and now he has an aversion to them, as i do. He picked them as a child to have....my parents just did not force them on him.
what a pile of absolute wank. How anyone with any form of education or intelligence could take such a thing seriously is beyond me. taken from the video: "do you want your children to be neuter? do you want them to read fairy tales about the love of two princesses or about a happy marriage between two bearded princes? Okay, then go on an keep mum and support gay marriage and in this case, within a few years, all family values will be destroyed." Lets play bullshit bingo! ominous drum music? CHECK Ending on sad piano music? CHECK lack of any evidence beyond "look at this, doesn't it make you uncomfortable? it must be morally wrong then! providing I'm squeemish about something, I don't need to provide evidence of it being harmful or detrimental to anyone. CHECK Interview with editor of notorious right-wing nationalist rag? CHECK Video taken out of context and, when researched, no evidence found that It even comes from the country it is claimed to? CHECK logical leap from anything not penis in vagina to pedophilia? CHECK name-checking "family values" without any attempt to explain what they are or why they are worth maintaining? CHECK Implying that certain cultural objects have the ability to brainwash people but implicitly denying that cultural objects that support your world view have the same power, even when 99.99% of the available objects are on your side? CHECK fuck, I could keep going, but I got bingo a while ago.
What does wearing a dress have to do with anything anyways? Its not like God created Adam and said "thou shalt not wear sissy dresses from Eve's closet or thou shall burn in a special part of hell made for cross dressing pervert." Fashion in itself, specifically gender specific clothing, is a form of social conditioning in and of itself. A dress is a piece of cloth, it isn't made with a big vagina attached to it. Its a bit hypocritical to cry "perversive social conditioning!" when referring to men wearing dresses when social conditioning is the only reason you feel only women should wear dresses in the first place.
Scottish boys wear kilts.....a form of a dress.....I just wonder if it is wise to pose gender questions to children who don't even have their sex organs fully developed yet...... i don't know about children today, but i was certainly not thinking about sex as a small child......
To add to this, all male children used to wear dresses (less mess when toilet training). Getting your first pair of pants was called "breeching" and was considered a big step towards manhood. For your enjoyment, here is a picture of Hemingway in a dress:
i have a similar photo of my father's father as an infant. a hundred and some odd years ago, that is typically how they used to dress babies in the u.s. which btw, the guy was a totally hardcore christer fanatic, and this is how THEY dressed their infants. of both genders. one reason may be that disposable diapers did not yet exist at that time. if you go back a thousand years, men did no wear pants. no one did. they had not yet been invented. no one wore 'fitted' garnments. well i'm not an expert of ancient clothing. i'm not exactly sure what century treus were invented. but i'm pretty sure it was less then a thousand years ago.
This thread is hilarious! It's being promoted as one thing but it is actually another. So we're supposed to appreciate what they are doing as something good, or is it actually something inherently wrong? I think it's both. If you think about it here's the dilemma. You can't give kids misinformation in school. So that's obviously not what they're doing here. I think it's actually an exercise meant to educate them. To teach them not only that it's okay to be different, but also that there isn't anything wrong with others who are different. That's an important lesson, but this may be a strange way of representing it. I don't really know what they're trying to do. If it's put on an agenda that prefers same sex marriage I would say that's a rather strong message for kindergarten. As someone pointed out this could be an extreme minority. What an interesting video.
I don't know if it was... I think the message that kids take home from the dressing up as opposite gender exercise might be valid. I admit I didn't watch more than 5 minutes of the video though. Lol.
kids are given misinformation in school all the time. and tested on to make sure they know it. part of the problem is separating opinion from information, and the influence of parents and their unfounded beliefs on what can and cannot be taught. parents and administrators both. not that all teachers are inherently unbiased either. nor textbook publishers. like children, most adults don't know how much of what they think they know, is more opinion then how anything can actually be observed to work. children, if allowed to, will try to explore honestly how things actually work. society and their parents, would rather have them believe things work the way THEY want to believe they do.
the narrator is not ''for'' the gender clothes exercise....he is absolutely not promoting lgbt....he is saying the movement have gone too far....being sarcastic In a way.......no?
The gist is that anything that isn't puritanical/heterosexual/traditional gender roles is sick and perverted and going to lead to the extinction of the human race... so of course the left/socialist NWO illuminati are trying to force it on your children. How else will they eventually reign supreme in a world where the living envy the dead?
Homophobia is a mental disease, resulting from ignorance, and sometimes arrogance. It can be avoided altogether by having an open mind and being brought up by intelligent, rational, and emotionally mature adults. Failing this, homophobia can still be cured by means of education, and forcible engagement with the real world. - Nawal Husnoo
Honestly you couldn’t have found a better example than Ernest Hemingway? Wasn't it truman capote who once said of hemingway "He's the greatest closet queen to ever come down the pike?" Hotwater
