It's a classic! It's so faced paced and gritty, really shows you the full aspects of a junkies life. One of the best British films ever made. A must see!

That was a good movie. Ewan McGregor is a better actor than he gets credit for.

Another good movie was Spun. It was kind of like Trainspotting, only it was about meth, and the humor was a lot more twisted.

I'd say dark comedy but bordering on drama. It's definately in the genre of drug films but they don't have them at rental stores!

Nobody says anything about the movie "Christiane F" which is the most schocking and powerfull junkie movie and based on a true story.
It is a german movie. You also should watch it in German with English subtitles.
This movie and the book were used in de 80's to scare kids about Heroine.
The story is about Christiane who is a 13 year old shy girl who wants to go to a disco called Sound. There she meets alot of new friends who gives here drugs. First stuff like Mandrax and valium and stuff. Finally she ends up as a streethooking herion addict with friends dying everywere.
The music from the movie is from David Bowie.
Great movie. Alot better then Trainspotting or Requiem for a dream or Traffic. Far more realistic. You really see needles going into veins and blood mixing with the Heroine in the syringe. And all that in gritty coldwar Berlin in the late seventies.

IMDB link http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082176/ It is rated 7.6 out of 1141 votes. That is real good for a movie which is not in English.
