Here in Switzerland the Rhaetian Railway set a new world record to run the longest passenger train, 1906m long, 100 cars, over the 789.4m descent from Preda to Alvaneu, including a 24.93km stretch of the Unesco World Heritage route through the Albula Valley, all part of the Glacier Express tourist route. The event was held to mark the 175th anniversary of the first domestic railway opening in Switzerland, and to celebrate the engineering achievements and scenery of the World Heritage route.
I haven't been to Praha for many years, so this bar wasn't there at the same time I visited, but I have a good idea where it is - in Wenseslas Square.
i see lots of bottle and glass deliveries, but i don't see sufficient clearances for ordinary plates. looks more like bar then resteraunt. unless they could have, make up long narrow plates. be fun to sit and watch. bit dissapointing only bottles and glasses. looks like a fair collection of leman motive power.
I'm working on a 1932 American Flyer O Gauge Bulington Zepher set. Engine, tender, mail car and tail. One of the few die cast zinc models produced. Looks like this one below. Funny enough, I found it and a 1950 Lionel steamer at an estate sale for $10.....
Check this beauty out.....this is my great grandfather, far right on the tender. A turn of the century Franklin steamer It's an old dry silver print my grandmother had ...
Here's another of the collection. Also a dry silver print. Of course, why would anyone ever wright anything on the back of the photo....lost in time. I've never been able to find anything about #492 on the DL&W RR. What's amazing is if you put the original picture under a loop the B&W grain is so fine, there's a lot of detail you can zoom in on.
