What happened to freedom of speach? Sure its one thing when it comes to security, but why in the hell would they deport the 2...

And why the fuck would a terrorist post up "I am going to destroy America?" on the largest blogging site? Either our government is Paranoid or straightup retarded... Logic people, comon.

Personal privacy died along time ago , it has been replaced by paranoia and mistrust .The internet/twitter any form of communication is helping governments to watch everything and everyone .

Right now there is someone monitering every post on this forum, taking down ip adress's and flagging potential threats to world peace. So if you are from a government and you are monitering this post- "BLOW ME "

The Imaginary Being. Great to see you again.
Question: Whatever happened to your RED DRAGON.

    Seriously.

This should keep the NSA busy for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

    Hi!

Perhaps Anonymous should start getting every human to start e-mailing and posting CODE PHRASES to each other Every Day! That might keep 'em busy.
Remember, you heard it here first!

I thought about this situation some more and I think the two could have been a bit smarter themselves. They shouldn't have said anything to those officials and should have demanded an attorney. It doesn't matter whether you're a US citizen or not, you have a right for legal representation. And when the security officials are going through your luggage in search for spades (because obviously a person intending to dig up some graves in hollywood would surely bring along his own from overseas instead of buying it locally) it's about time to shut up and get yourself a lawyer. not that they did anything wrong, but they didn't exactly stand up for their rights either.

its a dumb ass thing to say but dumb people have always been protected under freedom of speech laws.

Actually, the defense spending bill took their right to an attorney away. Anyone suspected of terrorism can be detained without charge and without an attourney, indefinitely.

    Disturbing!

I guess since the glory days of J. Edgar Hoover the US never really had a great sense of humor when it comes to protecting their homeland

    But seriously, for a Tweet?

Couldn't they investigate a little further & figure out they were only joking?!?

    Lol :D

9/11 changed everything. If only because it gave the US gov't free license to spy on everyone, to incarcerate anyone without charge, and to be Big Brother to the world.

And Bush promised us it wouldn't change the way we live, ah but he knew it would, and that is what THEY wanted to happen.

I have never been so angry in my life. I would say some things to express that, but I'm sure they would land me in jail. How the fuck can our government manage to to look so fucking stupid while wielding such dangerous power?? They're like the psycho kids that shot up Columbine. They obviously can't be trusted, so who the fuck gave them the artillery???
