I think more along the lines of all the important social skills are learned when everyone is between 2 to 6 yrs old with kids their own age, if then they dont get on with either or both sexes at that time, they then go on to have shitty relationships with their mothers or fathers, then on to other adults of whatever gender they have issues with.
