Any other young hippies out there like Tori Amos? I used to listen to her everyday and I still do listen to her quite a bit. She is just so awesome. Also, kinda unrelated but can anyone suggest some songs I should download or any cool bands I should check out? I really like all types of music but raggae seems to be my favorite. I really like music that is upbeat and happy so feel free to give me any ideas.

I just covered every genre except for country and heavy metal and punk rock... Having listened to Tori in the past, I can say that Ani, Spearhead, Sky Parade, Blind Melon, and Eagle-Eye all make more beautiful and powerful music than she does. In my opinion, obviously...

other female muscians i would suggest checking out ani difranco amiee mann hope sandoval cat power hmm...other music i like mogwai sigur ros explosions in the sky isis the red house painters < i think every girl would enjoy this band, IMO iron and wine 70's and 80's stuff: iggy pop joy division new order the velvet underground that should get you started.... enjoy : )

ugh.... go to a record store, or listen to some good internet radio, sheesh.. but i'll bite, here goes... iron and wine sufjan stevens rum tenor tom petty (people over look him) thats all i can think of right now... oh wait. belle and sebastion oasis sun kil moon red house painters my morning jacket ok thats it. i dont know if those bands are upbeat happy stuff, but its all good music. try some of it... expand your mind man... wooaoaaa grooovy....
"Tori Amos is a close personal friend of mine." That's awesome. I absolutely love Tori. Her music is so beautiful and moving. I did hear about her new cd coming out and I can't wait to get it. PS. Thanks for posting the lovely pictures of her.
