it's just the way breast are sexualized in america. in france women walk around on the beach topless and nobody thinks anything of it. what is also really stupid is how women will show their breast and only cover up the nipples. WHATS THE DEAL WITH NIPPLES!!!???!???!??????!?!?! men have them too. you don't see guys whippin out their dicks and only covering up the little whole at the end. it's such a double standard.

 

I think women should be REQUIRED to go topless!

Yeah, somebody did that up here in Canada and it became a big issue. Some others followed her lead, and at a local park there was even a group of women who tried to make a statement by haveing a picnic and taking their tops off. Needless to say, there were a number of men on hand as well, most having cameras with some kind of zoom lense attached. Eventually, the hooplah died down, and now no one really thinks much of it.

I mean, to have all those women making a statement about some silly women's rights, that must be so difficult for you! Poor guy, having to worry about being exposed to such a horrific thing as a women's breast, it must be so oppressive for you!

 

Where in the hell are you coming from with this? I don't remember stating--or even implying--that it's "such a horrific thing" and that I feel it to be "oppressive". I just stated that it was an issue for a while, and then it went away.

Yea, i think it will be a huge issue. Call it "evolution" or "God's will", the reality is that women and men are attracted to each other in different ways.

I don't know how many women get crazily horny if a guy takes off his shirt, but if a woman takes off her shirt , I am sure that ALOT of guys will get seriously horny.

In my thinking being in control of your body= not being in control of your self and attraction is an instinct where you are not in your control it just happens... with "showing" of the attractive object, the desire becomes greater , with desire for something, you would ofcourse want it, as if it is an "IT" even if that it is a "she, he" or whatever. If that object is a person , then thats a problem. Therefore , I think it will make women be looked at as objects of sexual gratification than another human being by ignorant men who will not be in control of their senses if such a thing(showing of breasts) is made legal.

 

so what your saying is if you have something, and someone else wants it, you should have to hide it by law?

Besides, its all a matter of what we get to see, that decideds what turns us on, in countrys where its illegal for women to show any part of their body, even seeing a womans lips or eyes is a thrill, by your logic does that mean they should never be alowed to stop hiding their eyes now that its considered normal to. If it becomes the norm for women to go topless it wont be a big deal anymore, and for it to become normal we have to legalize it.

The bottom line is, it is inequality, i know its because womens chests are considred sexual and mens arent, but thats a reason not an excuse, it is where the inequality lies. If women got all randy for no aparent reason and started getting all horney at the sight of shirtless men, would you consider it fair for their new outlook on it to make you have to wear a shirt? and you dont even need to do anything involving your chest like feeding a baby

 

I said what I needed to say, If you want to make a woman show her breasts in public and keep it legal and then go ahead who is stopping you.

I am surely speaking against it and if it happens to be legal and all the women start walking outside with their breasts uncovered and everything, I will just take it as a signal for me to retire from this world and go to himalayas , where i can meditate like a yogi

So I am responsible for your reaction to me? perhaps I shouldn't be alowed to wear a bikini on the beach, because I look damn sexy in a bikini, and it's pretty obvious that men are made 'horny' when they see me. I can't control that, and that is not my purpose in wearing it. I am not responsible for their reaction; they are! I am very turned on when I see an attractive man take his shirt off, I mean it does make me horny. He isn't responsible for me getting all drooly over his naked chest, and he shoundn't have to be.

Its just simply that society deems womens breasts as sexual. Its just that.. its not only men who have made that decision, but lots of women. The whole janet jackson stink was caused by who? oh yeah a female.

Do you seriously want a society where any person can walk around topless? I dont even want to see all these guys topless, let alone unattractive women. Its bad enough we have fat men walking around topless. We dont need fat women too.

Heck, ban topless for guys around town, i wouldnt care.

Now at the beaches, that'd be a legitimate place to argue having women go topless along with men.

Women probably wouldent do it any more than men do, and i only see men who are in good shape doing it anyway. But if it ofends people, then its good for them, they need to get used to the human body, and againg.

In this statment you make it sound as if women are worse than men. YOu can't possibly believe that.

I do agree that the turned on argument is a poor one. It has little to do with the issue. And yes, women have contributed to the sexualization of female breast, and that is so sad. There are also women who believe -there is no reason for women to vote, as their husbands should be the only ones concerned with important decions. That doesn't mean that they are right!

i dont know about you, but up where i live in vermont, it seems that like half the people who go topless are people that are overweight.

This is so true! The only bodies we ever see naked are in porn, or at least in sexual situations. This, is a crime! This is what has made womens' bodies a sexual possesion! This lack of real bodies has made us nudity crazy! because we see normal topless men regularly that is not sexual to us. That is the only reason!
