Requiem for a dream Battle Royale Leon (The Professional is the American title I think) Withnail and I Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas it's a shame you didn't ask for a top 20, there are so many great films I've left out. I did notice someone put The Pianist in earlier, corker of a film, if you liked that you might also like the Magdalene Sisters, came out around the same time and although the plot and setting are completely different there's the same sort of feel about the film.
Yeah, I was pretty surprised I hadn't seen it on anyone elses yet, best film to come out of the 70's by a country mile!
These change depending on what kind of mood I am in. LOTR trilogy (it IS one movie, dammit!) What's Eating Gilbert Grape It's a Wonderful Life Amadaus Hard Day's Night (or This Is Spinal Tap)

Hey I don’t really have a list but there’s a movie that everybody should see, it’s the most impressive movie I’ve ever seen, it’s called ‘La Vita È Bella’ translated = Life is Beautiful, directed by Roberto Benigni, being the primary actor himself. It’s about life, how to embrace it, how to overpass misery and discrimination, and most of all about Love. Happens in Mussolini’s Italy, about discriminating the jews, part of it happening in a concentration camp. It’s an example of courage, strength and how the man can always offer a smile in the middle of his worst nightmare. Makes us desire EVEN MORE Peace. U GOTTA SEE IT
