I respect your choices :) But can you tell me what makes them real metal, please? I promise I'm not looking for a reason to bash your choices, I just wanna know.

Might as well mention that guns n roses is hard rock, as was poison, primarily.

I've really been getting into Opeth a hell of a lot recently. I have to admit they are original and fuckin unique.

That's how I used to feel. But listen to them when you're tripping and you'll understand that MUST be what their music is for. Nice lengthy songs packed with changes and transitions.

It's just not my cup of tea. I like to toke while listening to lengthy songs, but not Opeth's. :)

I don't remember where I found that image, but I did laugh at it for a bit. I have only heard any considerable amount of Opeth on Ghost Reveries, I couldn't get into it, I didn't like the vocal tone, which is unfortunate, as they seem to be decent musicians. If I gave them more of a chance, they may grow on me, but right now I'm quite happy going through Kreator's discography.

You don't have to like every decent musician's music.

Of course not, but I do like diversity, and my music collection ranges from old country to extreme metal, to underground rap.
