    hmm, not really my "top five" necessarily (I never ranked my "cult" faves, and I like most those already listed), but these haven't been mentioned:

    Dark City
    Koi Kaze (it's a series, but, man, I'm amazed the plot ever made it to print - would never happen in the US)
    Vanya on 42nd Street
    Little Shop of Horrors
    Uncorked
    Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon
    'night Mother

    the warriors (cult movie best ever)
    dawn of the dead (1978) george romero's one has gotta be classed as cult.
    oldboy - so sick its good
    pulp fiction - the movie that got me into cult movies
    clockwork orange - probably the most well known cult movie of all time.

    I've seen Old Boy and Pulp Fiction named in a lot of lists, but can films that have had such high critical acalade and enjoyed the amount of succes they have really still be considered cult?

    I Heart Huckabees- started out slow, got good halfway

    A Clockwork Orange ties with I Heart Huckabees...
