Holy shit, go out and buy it/crack it/whatever. I only started it 2 hours ago, and it's fricken awesome. Immersive to say the least, my mind has literally been crushed by falling boulders the size of cars.. There are a few little cheesy things, like upgrading bows and guns and shit out of random little bits of junk found in conveniently placed crates just waiting for you to break open.. but it's quite fun, and besides, they make up for it in blood.. and cleavage, pixelated or not. As far a I can tell it's free roam, but I haven't progressed far enough to say for sure. Very nicely done though, so far I'm amazingly impressed and I don't actually wanna go to bed, but I need to.. so I leave you with this. Good night
I played the 360 version last year but I hear the updated one has great graphics. It's the first good Tomb Raider game in years.
I'm pretty sure I would have a good time with this game as well. I heard the puzzles were dissappointing though (which I find very unfortunate). Too bad, because I like a well balanced game with good action, impressive graphics AND some well executed mysteries/riddles/puzzles for that kind of brain activity...
Yeah, its like 1 puzzle and then a reward. The more I've played it, the more I've got bored of it.. one you figure out the pattern it's like.. mah. Still one of the best games I've played in a while though, considering everything.
My favs of recent times are Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite (I think I dare to recommend them to you too) :cheers2:
I shall check them out I bought Ghost Recon: Future Soldiers, that's pretty cool but it keeps crashing in the middle of a sand storm on the 2nd mission.. so I have an extra 25gb to spare again(limited bootcamp partition cos I'm running on a Mocintash)
What bothers me about this game, she doesn't raid any tombs. Should've called it "Lara Croft's adventure"
There are tombs, they're just optional. I thought it was a great game. I got really into it, finished it within a few days.
Bump! Sequel is out in a month or 2 (for xbox only at first) I bought it Good recommendation. Short but nice. Now I probably can't wait a whole year for the next one on my (soon to get) next gen console but I don't wanna go back graphics-wise and get it for my 360 (although I could play it very soon then).... Most likely I will wait though. It will also be a principle thing
Now i may have to try dishonored. I might forget about it by the time i catch up in my backlog though
Dishonored is a completely different game but yes, it is very entertaining. Another great setting (which like Bioshock is a distopian world in a fictional past. Some surrealistic stuff at times. That's where the similarities end though ). I noticed that Dishonored as well gets a rerelease on next gen, so if you haven't played it at all you might wanna get the upgrade version (I would wait for the reviews ). There's also a Dishonored 2 in the making Anyway, you're playing Tomb Raider on the 360? I think I know what game you're gonna think of getting next Isn't it pronounced like 'toomp'.... Or is this an aussie thing
I don't think you do know what game I am thinking of getting next....thanks for the advice on waiting for next gen, I will be upgrading for star wars battlefront. so I will get dishonored then. but I never mentioned to anyone recently that I been planning to get dragon age.
youll enjoy dragon age...another one i need to finish is shadow of mordor...am i the only one who got bored with it?
I was wondering if you were talking about the last one that came out or the one that's on the way. I did enjoy the new Tomb Raider. Some parts in the story were pretty intense. I remember reading a Game Informer article about it before it came out and it really gave a lot of insight into the game (moreso the type of energy they put into it). It is a little cheesy at some points, but not obvious cheese. I liked it.
It is a little cheesy because it implements everything that people always liked about Tomb raider games. And maybe because the puzzles are a little easy. But it does all those things well so that's why this game is simply a great playthrough Well, it's like finishing a great book and have that feeling like what to read next that's equally great/fun. When the sequel is upcoming you can just go on adventuring :-D And since you played this one on the 360 for you it isn't going back/downgrading graphic wise. Which I think would be a bit of a downer for me since I played this game on PS4 (where it looked really nice). So if I were you I would be even more tempted to get the next one in november About Battlefront: I will await the reviews. But it appeals a lot to me so far. I did play the first Batlefront on the first Xbox but I didn't got far with that all. Maybe Battlefront deserves its own thread though! I also wouldn't blindly go with an upgraded rerelease of any game, who knows what they manage to screw up But if they do it well it is always an advantage. If only because you generally get the downloadable content with it. No, I recall TopNotchStoner playing that one a while ago. He was very positive about it at first but seemed to got bored of it as well. If I recall right he traded it in for Farcry 4 :-D
I was waiting for the systems to go down to $300, and I have seen them hit that mark with specials and refurbished consoles so when black Friday hits I am sure there will be a sale that fits that price range. I spent more time online on the first battlefront than I did any other game, it might of been the only thing I played for a year if not then close to it. I was not a fan at all of the second one which is the only reason I will stick to my $300 price range to upgrade. I don't feel the need to jump in blindly but I can live with an upgrade at that price and unless battlefront gets compared to Too Human I think It will be worth my money.
