Me and my partner did some shopping in Manchester ( UK ) city centre. This particular Saturday was very busy due to the Black Friday deals still going on the the very popular and successful Christmas Market . So there was an exceptional number of shoppers and visitors to the City . However it also created pressure on things like the public toilets . We went to the toilets in the Arndale Centre and there seemed an endless queue for the ladies toilets. Now this is the interesting bit . When I went to the Gents which are adjacent to the Ladies loos, a couple of ladies were coming out after using the Gents WCs . It didn't bother me as the WCs are at the front and the urinals are at the back . So the ladies who started using the Gents WCs would not need to go through the section where the urinals were. However a couple of guys did take exception and were voicing their complaints to the toilet attendants at the number of ladies using the Gents Wcs . I ended up waiting nearly half an hour for my partner to reappear but I dare say many women couldn't wait this long . So would the ladies on here resort to using the Gents WCs if necessary ? Would other guys be bothered ? Would unisex toilets be the way forward ?
I have used the Gents at times. There seem to be a lot less public toilets these days. In London, I just go and use any Pub loo. Unisex is already in place in many cities.
In Manchester they tend to be mainly in Coffee houses . The problem with unisex loos is that its going to add to the queue problem if they are of the WC type. With us guys its unzip carrot and go. You ladies have to get half undressed to use them and its that I think is causing the queues . So I don't know what the answer is.
I wouldn't go to the shops when you know it's going to be busy. I do all of my shopping online. However, if i am out shopping and have to use the loo and there is a line up i find another toilet to go into. I do a lot of my shopping when i have to go in at Stockland Wendouree. They have heaps of toilets. When i was a young kid i had to go in with my old man. My old man was pretty good with me. Still is. However, this particular place we were at was the YMCA swimming pool. The guys changerooms had this disgusting smell of pee. The reason was simply because the urinal was this glass thing that went all around the changerooms. The smell of urine was disgusting. But it was convineint for many people if they were busting and were getting changed they could just do it where they were. The downside of it was that it was glass and everyone on the outside could see the guys taking a leak in the urinals. They had the normal toilets as well. But yeah would i go into the mens again? I would if they didn't mind and if i was busting. Unisex toilets i don't seem to mind either.
At my uni there are toilets with both a urinal and a toilet in them. Unisex ones. If a bloke had to pee and didn't seem to mind if there was a lady who had to pee as well then it's good. But if somebody had to take a dump then it would be a little awkward.
The Gents toilets in the main are still pretty bad .Some guys are bad aimers ! LOL The Arndale ones as mentioned are excellent though and very well maintained.
My Oh always has a pack of tissues in her bag in case of an emergency and a spare pair of knickers LOL. She is always prepared. She nearly had to use the latter as she was waiting so long .
Yeah i could tell because i had to be careful of where i walked. My brothers controlled themselves when they had to go.
The Gents in the bars are even worse as many become a bad aimer once a few alcoholic drinks are consumed. One guy didn't quite make it to the loos in one bar recently . But I will spare the details
Yes, I do now. I know a story about my friends' hubby. Stuck in a Traffic queue for hours on the approach to Dover docks. He used the baby's empty bottles!!!!! OMG
Long distance Lorry Drivers have a similar technique of using pop bottles . I wonder if anyone has ever got their carrot stuck this way ?
I Fail To See What Your Problem Is Here.......Just Do What I Do......Grab It With Both Hands And Shake Off The Drips.........Couldn't Be Easier...... Cheers Glen.
I saw something on youtube where somebody was busting and had to use an empty plastic bottle. If that is the case you would want to make sure that it was a gatorade bottle so that you could get it in there.
The Queue Drips Aren't The Problem.......Candy Is Referring To The "After Drips"....(i think).... Cheers Glen.
