How long must I marinate a block of extra-firm tofu (cut into 5 slices) before it retains flavor? Is 4 hours enough? I'm hungry.
Blast. I might have to venture into the ominous depths of the vegetarian forum to get my answer. I'm afraid.
Wouldn't that depend on what you're marinading it in? Not all spices/marinades are the same strength! Also it may help if you took a knife or fork and pierced it a few times, so the juices could get into the tofu better? I wouldn't do that when marinading meat, then I'd want the meat's own juices to remain inside, but for tofu it'd probably be okay.
It's a pretty strong marinade. I just searched google and found some similiar recipes and they said it only needed to be marinated for 3 hours. Good idea about piercing it, but i already cracked it in quite a few places when handling it so I think it will equate to the same as piercing it intentionally in the end.
I wonder if you cooked sperm if it would be just like frying a chickens egg, is that what this thread is about or should i actually read before posting?
Hmm maybe I should try it. I'll provide the butter, frying pan and stove if you can provide the rest of the ingredients.
