A couple of years ago. We had a freak snowstorm. It crippled everything. It was a bad day to be in any cities especially NYC. If I recall. It happened in the afternoon and it was supposed to be brief. It turned into an all day deal well into the night. No plows were out so no roads got plowed and salted. My 30 minute ride home turned into a 3 hour ride home. I got home just as rush hour was about to start around 5ish. I was watching the reports from around PA, NJ, and parts of NY. So many people in the cities were gridlocked with no where to go. People ended up abandoning their cars as majority got stuck. The following day. Cars are all up in the ditches along the roads. It was a bad day that day as no one was prepared.
The weather is often unpredictable. You cannot stay in your car with freezing temps. Best to leave it and find shelter. I would do that.
Oh for sure. I'll do that as last ditch effort for survival. If anything happens to the car. The insurance will take care of it. Hopefully.
Oh yes, I never thought of Insurance, they are fickle at times over natural phenomena. I think our house insurance has some extreme excess for floods!!!!
More snow! I hope your ride is a safe one, in that rig you should be fine! But be careful... I hate that black ice on the bridges.
Thanks. She handles snow very well. I don't cheap out when it comes to tires. Or safety for that matter. She's home parked as I'm in my work van. The van is fun in the snow. I love doing donuts in it after it snows lol

15 degrees when I walked out the door around 4am. As of this screenshot. Current temp 19 back at home. I'm down by the bay where it's 25 degrees. Caught an awesome sunrise. It's going to be a good day as I get to stop at my favorite store in my travels to pick up fishing supplies.
I'm starting to adjust to it. Not sure. I don't start fishing again until towards the end of February. Going to stock up for the season.
