Today's Weather Report

Winter is upon us in sunny southern California. The temperature dips ever so slightly and between the car and the office it occurs to you that maybe you should have worn a sweater. It's bizarre because we definitely don't get seasons. But in the distance there might be some snow on the mountain tops, and at the beach you won't see any but the bravest souls without wetsuits on their surfboard. And for the homeless of course the reality of winter is different because at night it's very uncomfortable to be out in the 45ºF cold; especially if the wind blows... But even without the air being frigid, as the temperature dips into a lower high, it's cooler in the shade and it feels relatively cold; except perhaps in the afternoon.

All in all the seasons are beautiful, and I long for the rain; though when it's here I usually wish it to come again another day...

 

One computer model has predicted a big snowstorm on Monday, the other more
reliable GFS model has it passing out to sea to our south - we shall see.

Actually the digital display is just off an app I paid about £4 for as a one off payment.
And I use that in various ways.
It not only gives that but other graphics as well of the prevailing weather, and I use that as a screen saver.
Very good value

It is very accurate in forecasting a few days ahead and it gets the outside temperatures spot on.

I try and delete the past ones as I go because they are rather large, and the information is soon dated.
