    I hope Zen in your forum to be posting my weather and live camera stuff sometime this week as they thinking 0f letting me out of Hospital.

    Hurray!!!

    I am so glad you are getting some relief from the pesky mosquitoes. I am sympathetic as I have been bitten many times, living on houseboats in lagoons with mangrove swamps nearby. We would burn a "smudge" pot in the evening to make a smokey cloud. It kept the mozzies away for a bit. We would also burn those mosquito coils. Do you have those in Turkey?

    I did have the dengue fever once... it was debiitating. Took a long time to recover.

    Hope you don't get it.

    A few months ago I was listening to an online seminar on emerging infectious diseases and the host described Dengue Fever (also known as breakbone fever)
    as one of those viruses that people often pray for death rather than experience the excrutiating pain.

    Was it really that bad or did you simply not experience the full array of symptoms?

    It was bone breakingly bad. Two weeks in hell... almost checked into the hospital but my doctor at the time made house calls. I was much younger then, in my twenties. So I did recover. Of course we had to get some screens repaired, and scoured the area for standing water... but in the tropics when it rains every day it's a problem.
