    Yes I know how to do the conversion (there is a relatively simple way to do it too), but as I was trying to portray there is abig difference between say, 50 o F and 50 o C

    Well the wind seems to have calmed, and I guess you are back from the shoppes by now. Happy Tuesday!

    F and C temperatures in one spot! How convenient for us :)

    Today's weather report is from the town of Las Pocitas, in Baja California Sur.

    They are famous today because the locals have blocked the only highway that runs north and south through this state.

    The locals did not get a contract to haul silt from the nearby stream bed, so they closed the highway to all but ambulances in protest.

    How long this continues is a good guess.

    But I feel bad for the thousands trapped there in buses, cars and trucks with no services in the middle of the desert. The 'town' of Las Pocitas has a gas station, a general store and one restaurant that serves nothing but beef burritos, and also sells knives made from the steel coils of truck springs.

    It's going to be a hot day in Las Pocitas.

    Well the kind blockade people opened up for an ambulance, then they went home for the night.

    The next day a rival group tried the same thing a few miles further up the road, but the police finally arrived and made them open after three hours. It is the only road north and south here.

    We love Godzilla. She protected our car for many years by riding on the dashboard. Unfortunately she melted in the desert sun one time... messy. But much loved.

    The cold air will only be around for another 48 hours after that back up to 60 F on Friday.

    As for my hot water, clean natural gas heat, or so the gas company claims...lol..

    Blockade is over... traffic is flowing north and south as it should.

    Here in La Paz, the mega-yachts have begun to arrive.

    At 200 feet or longer, with sometimes 60 crew members they buy a lot of fuel, food and booze when in port. The locals love to service them.
