    Wishing everyone a wonderful day, it's Halloween!

    Up north people are carving pumpkins.

    Here in Mexico they would be decorating floats for a parade, and preparing tons of food for parties, and to leave at the altars they will create for their loved ones who have passed on. Tomorrow and the next day they normally visit the pantheons in mass crowds and leave at the last offerings of food and drink. Some build elaborate altars with candles, statues, and so forth.

    Here is a video, in Spanish, showing all the colorful imagery associated with this very Latin American tradition.

    Well storm Aiden has now passed, and we're currently in the grip of the remnants of Hurricane Rita. Its misty, murky and visibility is down to about 500 metres, Oh and its also very wet, as its still raining !!!:mad::mad::mad:

    It has been hissing down all night here in North Wales but that has cleared up and we are out for a walk soon.

    Another hot and sunny day here in La Paz. The locals could not behave themselves and wear masks, etc. So the only decent place to walk is closed...the Malecon. Don't know when it will reopen so here is a favorite picture from there for you to enjoy:

    The webcam, shows no activity on the Malecon... errily quiet.

    Thank you for looking in Zen.
    Yes stormy night is predicted, but quiet right now.

    Actually I am not into hot toddy or in fact any ‘short’ type of drink at all.
    It is now 00.09am here in North Wales and every night I have 2 bottles of beer waiting there for me, and i just took a picture.
    I have those along with a nice cheese and tomato sandwich.
    I don’t go to bed until around 3.00am, so that’s good.
    Wish you were here having a beer with me! :)
