    Happy New Year everyone!

    Here in La Paz the mariachi bands are still playing - started around 10 pm last evening, now 10 am!

    There was a big band right on the other side of the wall surrounding our place, needless to say it reverberated through the entire house at top volume - but they stopped at around 4 am.

    I drank too much rum and fell asleep then...

    But it's a beautiful sunny day!

    Best wishes to everyone for a great 2023!

    Here in PEACE, Mexico, things roll on sunnily. Happy to be living in the second happiest country in the world... that's not saying much in these turbulent times, but hey, it's something :)

    Today we are waiting for the mess over in Culiacan (Sinaloa) to simmer down. Seems yesterday there was a massive military raid to capture "El Raton" (The Mouse) a son of El Chapo Guzman... and you all know who he is, right?

    My new laptop is over there on the way to being delivered.. when the mess settles down and the bullets stop flying it may get on the next ferry to La Paz.

    Second Happiest Country, right!?!?

    Spring is coming but Winter is here, and it's here to stay for the next 3 months.

    At 34 degrees you have to be careful especially driving over bridges and overpasses, because it difficult to distinguish between wet pavement and ice
