Good, a cold snap cuts back the insect population for winter. Many plants and trees thrive on the cold weather break from summertime's heat. Without an annual frost there would be no apples I hear.
Here it was cloudy and gloomy overnight, which held in the heat. It never got chilly enough for a blanket. The third wave of butterflies this year has descended on the garden. Fluttering about on the Bougainvillea bushes at dawn. They are dark, with tails. Not large. I thought they might be moths, but the only fly about in the daytime. We had big yellow butterlies first in the Spring. Then more colorful varities mid-Summer. Now the dark ones as winter approaches.
