    Good Monday Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night to all my HIP Forum friends.:)


    50F / 9C Outside.
    70F / 20C Inside.

    Chilly but Sunny out there today, so not too bad at all.:)

    Have leave home shortly to take Wifey to Eye Hospital.
    She is having a cataract operation on one eye around 12.00pm today.
    From what I have heard the operation is quite a good safe one.
    A worry though all the same.

    I just saw the black ice post …no black ice in tropical paradises …I have slipped on roads without black ice Just with hydroplaning ..fortunately I am able to drive in snow and ice and while hydroplaning ….

    Beautiful day today love hearing the songbirds

    It looks like my Wifeys cataract eye operation went O.K. yesterday, so I am pleased about that.
    Mind you,
    Because at the moment she is wearing a patch over her eye, she reminds me of a flipping Pirate!:laughing:

    Congratulations to Chris for enduring that operation! She will be happy with the results. I began a new life when I had both my eyes done.... tossed out the glasses! YaY!

    And here in La Paz, a small corner of the globe...

    Today's walk will be on the medium side of the tide... neither hi or low.

    As you can see from the image below there is a lot of shipping going on in this area! Each little arrow is either a cruise ship, yacht or tanker/freighter of some sort. The seas are filled with goods being carried here or there... a supply chain. Hmmmm.

    And from a wider perspective you can see the massive amounts of Carbon Monoxide being spewed into the air from all our 'industrial endeavours', home heating, and from cars and trucks.

    The visitor center is really bad with interpretive information.

    They showcase these beautiful murals, but not a sign or any credit is shown. I asked the door person, but her English didn't match up with my Spanish... so we just smiled and moved along.

    The one above seems to glorify the relationship of the natives with the sea...and the land. Another was about ONE of the Mexican Revolutions (there has been more than one!). The first represents the culture and hard working spirit of these people. Or so it seems to me :)

    @wyldwynd I love La Paz for many reasons, but the mural artwork in Mexico is OUTSTANDING!

    I was charmed by the graffiti in Spain, but this is another level of social consciousness.

    I have more pics of murals here, I should make a special gallery of them!

    Huge storm expected this upcoming weekend with meteorologists using the word bombogenesis.
    But only rain, no snow. 3rd weekend in a row (not a good pattern to be stuck in)

    Zen please do that would make an awesome thread I love street art and murals there is almost around here too and a really cool Rosicrucian garden inwill post pictures of ..I have so many photos over 70k currently on my phone
    A mist is covering everything at the moment will lift during the day I love this weather (still looking forward to go back to undeveloped area cabin that I have with no population only cows and birds and nature which I hear the mice are running wild while I am away)
    You live in a very beautiful place zen

    I meant to say a really beautiful painted rock garden with beautiful portraits painted on them..also the roads are becoming congested again with so much traffic
