    Had a lovely time with my Sister and a friend of ours.
    They have gone home now after two nights stay.
    But I tell you what Zen.
    It is always nice to have friends stay for a while.
    But then it is always nice to have ones home back alone with Wifey once they have gone back home! :laughing::laughing::laughing:

    Hard to believe 2 days in a row with temps in the single digits and teens and we're looking at mostly rain after a inch or so of snow.

    But the wind is going to be rockin' with gusts up to 65 mph

    HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO NOON EST MONDAY...

    WHAT.    ..Southeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected. Highest winds from outer Cape Cod to Cape Ann.
    WHERE...Eastern Essex MA, Suffolk MA, Eastern Norfolk MA, Eastern Plymouth MA, Barnstable MA, Dukes MA and Nantucket MA Counties.
    WHEN...From 1 AM to noon EST Monday.
    IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down tree limbs and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

    In Western Washington we are in the middle of the winter wet. On our TV weather forecast the meteorologist said…..”some parts of Western Washington may be hit with dry weather tomorrow”!!

    Wifey and I are off now for a 4 night stay at one of our best hotels in Llandudno, so on my IPad I may not be able to post as usual.

    Entertainment every night, so that means it is boogie on down Rock N Roll time!:)

    The storm was a quick hitter so it wasn't too bad snow inland and rain along the coast.



    Flooding is becoming an all too common a sight along Boston Harbor.

    I don't know what the Marriott Hotel is going to do in the future because even the smallest storm produces enough flooding to break out the sandbags

    It is so great that we were written up in the Mexico News Daily:

    "Despite rising 4th COVID wave, tourists head beachside

    Some 2,000 kilometers to the northwest (of Acapulco) is La Paz, state capital of Baja California Sur (BCS), which is currently Mexico’s coronavirus epicenter with more than 900 active cases per 100,000 people.

    Tourists and residents flocked to the city’s seaside promenade over the weekend to stroll, ride bikes and roller-blade, El Universal said. Mask usage was far from universal despite the risk of infection as the highly contagious omicron variant spreads quickly in BCS and beyond.

    “People are more carefree than in previous waves,” said Javier Martínez, who was exercising on the La Paz malecón.

    Many locals and tourists no longer follow the virus mitigation protocols, he told El Universal, explaining that they don’t distance themselves from others or wear face masks properly.

    La Paz currently has almost 5,200 active cases, state data shows, or almost 70% of all current infections in BCS."

    The forecast............

    Ordinarily 1-2 inches of snow is no big deal but the timing of the precipitation coincides with the morning commute, which is why the National weather service felt compelled to issue a special weather statement.


    Special Weather Statement

    RAIN CHANGES TO SNOW EARLY THIS MORNING WITH SLIPPERY TRAVEL IMPACTING PART OF THE MORNING COMMUTE...

    Rain will develop through daybreak and quickly change to snow in most locations through 8 am. A period of light to occasionally moderate snow is expected during the morning hours before coming to an end in most locations by lunchtime. 1 to 2 inches of snow is expected generally south of a Hartford...to Worcester...to Boston line.

    Part of the morning commute will be impacted with reduced visibility and roads becoming snow/slush covered. Please drive with extra caution this morning and allow extra time to reach your destination.
