    It is a lovely day and Wifey is as I speak doing us a packed lunch for going out for the day! :)

    Nothing like being out in pollen filled air and not bothered by it. Car is yellowish from the pollen and will be getting washed tonight. Anyways today will be a beautiful day. Not ideal Temps but it's better then yesterday.

    Oh well, today started off so nicely!

    Until about 10:00 am, when the customary BLEEEP of the local policia outside the castle wall. Within a minute furious clanging of the bell at the gate is heard... I slowly put on some shoes... hoping they will go away.

    But NOOO... the clanging gets louder, and I hear them calling. So I put on a mask and go out there to greet the scene. (First I put a 500 peso note in my pocket...knowing what they want in advance.)

    So long story short, 'how are you.' 'Is everything OK.' 'How is your friend?' Etc. All is well I say, 'muy tranquilo.'

    Smiling as he taps into his cellphone, he holds it up for me to see the google translation:

    "At this time we seek your assistance."

    Oh well, that 500 pesos disappears into his giant ham sized fist faster than a cockroach fleeing a scorpion.

    The smile gets bigger, and he swiftly retreats back into the cool of his air-conditioned patrol car. Waving with a big grin, he sped away.... until another day.

    I mutter to myself 'see ya next month' in anticipation of the next 'friendly' visit from the authorities.
