    I really feel for you guys in the US. We have increasing problems in England but violence is increasing across the globe. The human race is sure not what the universe intended.

    I think people are being pushed way too far with consumerism and expectations. When they can't match these expectations they kind of flip out and a lot do crazy and violent things. Add to this the need to show being stronger than the person next to you and hey you gotta powder keg situation.

    I also think there are forms of increased paranoia in general society and feelings of weakness where some folk have gotta prove they're not weak and it massively affects judgement. They're kind of pushed too far.

    Sad to say we are being conditioned like this and the more we accept this the more grown up and are parented in such a society it's a huge downward cycle.

    Say yeah, the weapons can be taken away and laws changed. But would it stop a crazed one picking up a kitchen knife or using their car as a weapon? Of course serious punishment needs to be handed out to offenders but it's the conditioning we gotta change.

    I'm a Spiritual kind of guy and in the Branch of Cosmic Spirituality we talk a lot about the 3 Pillars of Love, Peace and Respect. In today's world I think we sure lack them in abundance across the globe. In our 6th Tenet titled Peace, part of it reads;
    THE HUG SHOULD BE MIGHTIER THAN THE FIST:
    It is a sad reflection if you were to carry a stranger's shopping, hug them afterwards and tell them you love them, many in society would consider you mad . We are conditioned to think so. Whilst if you were to carry a stranger's shopping, then strike them with their fist and steal their shopping, elements of society would consider this a show of strength and power. Elements have been conditioned to think that. Yet the world would be at peace if all considered the hug a show of strength and power and the fist rejected.

    It would be a mighty better world if we all felt the hug was more powerful than the fist and conditioned the present and future generations to practice it.
