(pickles i don't recognize. must be too recent, or regional to some place i've never lived.)

i remember matt groening's "life in hell" in the news and review before i there ever was the simpsons.

back when there was also 'a yogi bear ly' as a regular feature in the local version of it where i was living at the time.

this was along about the same time ananda was getting started. which was long before that guy from india did that thing up in oregon.

i remember buying the pussy mix (meo mix satire) issue of the berkely barb, when i was going into the air force in oakland in 68.
and of course fat freddie's cat starting the famous san francisco fire. (from which originated the saying "never eat anything bigger then your head")
