Friend of mine had his car stolen, but when the cops found it the next day the back seat was plum full of brand new records. Hope yours works out that way.
That's a bummer. My friend sold a car to someone who never transferred the title and ran up a bunch of tickets. My friend had to take time off from work to appear in court and pay all the fines. Even worse is if something like this happens and the vehicle is used in a crime, such as armed robbery. .
my freind truck was stolen and he knew the guy, I know the guy too and hes a crackhead. I said report that shit dude. This clown took your truck and didnt ask. He asked by leaving a note "i took your truck will give you 50bucks when I get back" we have always been a trusting people around here, leaving doors open, keys to cars where people can see them entering a house. my friend is a roofer, his house it just a like his business, walk on the porch and tons of roofing stuff and nobody takes it. but they steal his truck. note said be back 10pm. at 4am my hours he said what should I do. I told him call the cops crackhead is using your truck for a B&E and sure enough he was caught within the we-we hours breaking into a building. cops told my freind if you didnt report your truck, and he got caught, you would be going to jail too, not that the judge would see it that ways, but not the cops duty to be the judge of things..
This is the thing about taking a vehicle without proper consent from the owner. The owner doesn't know what happened. It could have been a fairly nice friend who took it, someone the owner wouldn't want to see get arrested. But the owner doesn't know that at the time and is playing it safe for himself by reporting the vehicle stolen. Taking something without consent is, by definition, theft. I saw a couple of my friends end up in jail for this type of thing. The charges were grand theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. .
that crackhead tried to tarnish my friends name by saying he called the cops on him for no reason, if he knew he had it.. sure he knew who had it, and ok maybe it would of been cool coming back when he said he would.. but never did, dude needs his truck at 7am for work.. now he is pissed off but feels sorry for the crackhead.. he didnt press charges though, the thief was caught doing shit so he didnt feel it was necessary.. This crackhead has a get out of jail free card.. no matter what he does.. he stole a car, drove it into a mac machine and only got more probation.. WTF WTF WTF!!!...
that is a drag, moe, thieves suck! itll work out tho, most stolen cars are found - usually in the 90 days or so. I know its the stuff that is the hardest to get back, and what a pain....
I GOT IT BACK and the dirty white trash fool didn't take a thing! Woo-hoo, on the road again!!!! Ha sucka.
Just remember what goes around, comes around. Karma is a bitch, so don't worry who ever stole your car will get his/hers. I'm sorry your shit was stolen. It happened to me once, but it was intentional.
