I think you're over-analyzing this. The teach is mentally messed up and made a dumb statement. Not the first time that's happened in world history. End of story.

Taking a comment out of context to imply that educators are teaching children to be ashamed of being white/straight/male. I see it's a day ending in Y.

 

Lately I've been using the black hand gesture and facial emoticons to send to people that also use the emoji app on their iDevices. And everyone always says "why the black hand?" like I've taken the effort to change the color to black and they realize and have to question why.

I'm tempted to start a fake online tinder account or something and meet someone and then start sending them black emoticons to see their reactions. tv show right there.

 

bigotry takes many forms beyond race: religion and ideology are obvious examples.
what is bigoted however is the illogic of racial and/or ethnic "superiority"

when a dominant ethnicity arrogantly and arbitrarily claims "superiority",
and basis traditions and policies on such a claim,

I would disagree with that. Identification with race is what makes you a racist, just as identification with a nation makes one a jingoist, identification with the gender makes one a chauvinist/feminist, identification with a religion makes on a fanatic. Similarly with all other identifications.

Using all these secondary things to construct an identity for yourself is where all the trouble starts.

I'm white and don't consider myself racist.My best friend is Nigerian.I like rap music because of the beats,production,lyrical flow and audacious attitude.I can't relate to dealing crack because I never have,I can however relate to death threats.That is not to say though I condone all behaviours of black people,because like any human beings no group or race is entirely innocent of making the wrong moves at times,and the black youth culture followed by many is no water exception.We are all I hope aware of the socio-economics involved.And then there's black on black violence to consider.I nominally support Trump because I think change is good,but be careful of getting carried away with ALL his agendas.He's a bit of a loveable rogue,and I have a soft spot for that.A little shot from the right wing can be good at times,if we consider the alternating currents of human nature,but please be aware of unnecessary nastiness,small mindedness and oppressive attitudes.And that is not me being politically correct,and of course many aspects of black youth culture are not so,but rather me being KIND,as I hope Trump and his team will be.
