I understand how annoying it must be - especially because it probably happens all the time -- but really; stop being so sensitive.

It's not a bad thing to be skinny, you know!

I agree, I don't see any excuse for being massive. I never said overweight, i'm saying massive. So by the same standard, size 0 is bullshit to me as well.

The truth hurts, can't shy away from it forever.

OR! OR! there's option #2: shut the fuck up and leave people the fuck alone. when did "if you don't have anything nice to say, shut the fuck up" go outta style. not your business unless it's your spouse or child.

it used to shit me when i was younger.. doesn't anymore though. the best way to live is not giving a shit what other people think, and most of the time people are only thinking about themselves anyway.

Another expression - 'Cruel to be kind'. My uncle blew up to around 300 lbs and died of a heart attack at around his early thirties. I barely knew him, and I feel awful for it.

Why should people sit around and let someone do that? He ate himself to that position. Fat people are too sensitive.

A bit of weight is not the issue, it's the polarizing cases. Huge humans in wheelchairs or the anorexic model who's heart suddenly stops because she was left her alone to her eating disorder- it's all just wrong.

Yeah, there are extremes of everything. But, I can't agree with what you say about being 'cruel to be kind'. I have no right to be cruel to people I don't know, if I am worried about someone I will offer advise IF they want to listen. If anyone came up to me, for whatever reason, and made a cruel comment - I would tell them to fuck off. I really don't think that it would all of a sudden make me change my view.

I didn't mean it so literally, you know that. I would never walk up to someone and say 'hey fat ass, do some exercise'. But I will, and HAVE, told someone 'you know mate, you've already have a Subway and a Mc Donalds for breakfast and lunch, you sure a takeout is the best idea for dinner?'.

It's not healthy. I mean, what's wrong with looking after the well fare of your nearest and dearest? I always worm my mum onto healthy meals, I can't help it. I am fed up of her buying fried food and chocolate all the time.

Yeah, that's offering advice. I have no problem with advising a friend, or being advised to do something. But, I do have a problem with saying it in a harsh way. Yes, someone might be extremely over or underweight - but they still have the same feelings as an 'average' sized person.

Advising someone to eat healthily is absolutely fine. I had a friend at school who was very skinny who received horrible comments all of the time from a group of people who said she stuck her fingers down her throat, and hid food in her room - and that she needed to be eating it. She didn't see the funny side.

But, anyway. Yes advise is good, but being cruel just because you can - No.

That hasn't been what this thread's about.

You are fully aware of that.

I am aware, i've stated my opinion about a skinny frame as well. I digressed a little, but then, that's because people already had begun talking about a fatter build beforehand.

You should be fully aware of that, too. At least, I hope so.

What can I say? It's a crime of passion. I just care about people. And anyways, it's all weight related so I haven't really strayed off topic just added another dimension to your thread- which I think is fair enough.

But, I will be quiet, out of respect for your wishes.

I'm surprised you even called me up on it, it's like your questioning my morale position here

figured you'd know me well enough by now that I wouldn't be nasty to people for no reason. I advise fatter and skinnier people to try hard to build a healthier frame.

The biggest problem, is both of these groups take even a little bit of advice or encouragement negatively- it's a taboo to even say 'eat healthier'. People are too sensitive.

Someone told me I had bad breath yesterday. I didn't bitch, I bought some chewing gum. Turns out I did have quite nasty breath

Being cruel is never okay and in a lot of cases it just makes it worse. Something easily solved by buying a pack of gum or cleaning your teeth is simple. But say you had some intestinal condition that gave you chronic halitosis that isn't easily solved. Wouldn't that start dragging you down after hearing about it again and again and again fromstrangers who just think they're "giving advice?"

People who love and care for you is one thing, but if they're incessant about it they simply become dicks.
