Tingling Soles

  1. After you barefoot an especially hot or cold surface, the tingling of the tiny nerves in the soles is such a unique barefoot pleasure!

    Ya. I did a 5 mile hike this weekend. By the end, the ground was getting pretty hot from the sun. Feet felt great afterwards.

    I did three miles on gravel and larger rocks.

    I hate rhyolite.A'aa

    Some of the trails around here use various size gravel/stone to combat erosion.
    If it's a uniform layer I can walk over it pretty easily as they tend to use rounded/smooth type rock. T
    he worst is randomly scattered pieces. Accidentally stepping on a single big piece with heel or instep is painful.
    I had to look up rhyolite - looks sharp edged and nasty. Yuck
