Gotcha' Also - I do have strong feelings that time is speeding up, period. For everybody, whether they are having a good time or not. Like a wave of something (2012?), a transition, whatever is coming and the closer it gets, the faster time gets. Though your words are most poetic, I (usually) see a deep truth in them.
It is... I could go on and on about the crescendo... Time periods compressing themselves into a point, and then an orgasm. We're right at the center of the spiral. This is a universal pattern, this is not new age BS.
and Neo, I usually totally agree with everything I've seen you come up with -but this What about when other people see and remember the same thing? Osmosis illusion?
watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu6WFr61I-g this is one of the most impressive videos I've ever seen. Thank god for you, Terence... this explains it all so well.
I can even accept everything (past, present and future) occuring at once - like the Akashic Records, only(most of) us 3-d's can't really tap into it.
I'm not saying that it never happened. I'm just saying that you are always existing in the eternal now, all of time is existing in the eternal now, and any record that you hold of yourself in the past or any projection of yourself that you have in the future is just a mental construct. The way I see things, in order for something to be real, it must be eternal. If it is not eternal, then it must be an illusion, b/c it does not exist at all points of time (which is really just one point; NOW)
neodude, I highly recommend that link to you as well. I've watched it 100 times, and it just made me cry a little bit.
I'm half way working on a biology paper right now, but I'll check it out sometime tonight. Am I going to agree or disagree with it?
I think you will love it, bro. It's my favorite 10 minutes of all time. Listening to him speak about this makes me melt...I seriously just wept... I'm probably going to end up starting a new thread about it. I want to share this with you all.
He's the master of articulation, watch it when you're done your paper. Hopefully it will inspire you as much as it does me.
I just watched the video, and I must say it was extremely beautiful. I'm not sure if I agree with his "the point of it all", but he does make a strong case.
Terence McKenna was a genius... he was friends with Tom Robbins, one of my favorite writers. I've read almost every one of McKenna's books, watched almost every video that I could find...downloaded all the lectures that I could, and I still can't get enough. He's dead, and he's still teaching thousands of people on a daily basis... Just explore his media... he was one of a kind.
The only reason I've never been into him is b/c he is sort of a "pop sensation" in the psychedelic world, if you know what I mean.
Well...there's a reason why we all love Terence McKenna... as you now know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4LKz9zxgVM
