You're right. But im guessing it has something to do with its physcial matter in terms of molecule structure that make it the key to any possible time travel

I don't know ... I still don't believe in time travel.

I believe in the eternal present. If you went back in time, you would still be 'here' and you would still be alive 'now'. Same as if you went in the future ... it would still be the present. You can never escape being here and now.

 

i just had another thought.. If you were to travel to another dimension of time through going faster than the speed of light and that means of transportation would mean not being physical (faster than light im assuming is nothing). Would you just travel to the opposite side of our dimension. Which would be non existing, and therefore you'd be nothing. Because the opposite of a physical universe would be a.. non physical universe?

 

I honestly don't see how going the speed of light is relevent to time travel. I'm assuming your thinking that light can only go 'so fast'. So if we go faster than light we will somehow break time? I just don't get it. If we go faster then light we will only get to a certain point before light does. We didn't go ahead, or back in time.

Correct me if i'm wrong, and if I am please clarify.

it comes down to using Worm holes to get from one desintation to the other, to enter a worm hole which is nearly a black hole, solid matter cannot exist, therefor you must be in a form of energy, it's not about travelling the speed of light persay, it's about changing to a state which would be allowed to travel

there are really 2 parts to the theory of relativity, the main part which is in question is this:

The speed of light in a vacuum is constant (specifically, 299,792,458 meters per second relative to the observer

therefor in the case of time travel, i would asume the speed would be consistent, i dont really understand the previous comment though about how u cannot travel faster then the speed of light, ie. particle accelerators.

meaning different situations have different results, ie. the speed of light could be different, depending on how fast the observer who is OBSERVING said particles travelling the speed of light is travelling

So I was just reading some stuff on black holes, because i'm really int othe universe and it's sturcture ... And There were a few comments made about the possibility of black holes leading to other times, sort of like 'natural time travel'. It would make sence since the gravitational pull of a black hole is over 300,000 meters per second. So not even light can escape a black hole. That is pretty crazy. At least in my opinion.

So this is WAY off topic, and I really should just start a new thread ... but what do you guys think happenes to the light that's trapped inside the black hole? If it can't leave, but it can go IN ... where does it go? Hmmm.

 

i belive it's just destroyed, it's not so much that light "cant escape", but more that black holes are soooo dense, that light cannot EXIST inside them, thats why a worm hole would be more applicaple to time travel
