    Hi

I've found hollywood sometimes produces interesting stuff.
    Terminator
    Darko
    Time machine
and especially such gems as 12 monkeys.

Yet it all is set in one 'concept'
Our current concept of time is a 'guess' at best.
And yes, such guessing is the core of imagination.
Our gretest tool in understanding reality
But should we not guess outside the box of linear time
and simple movement through it back and forwards.

The oft joked appon 'sliders' series was actually very einsteinian
the multiverse. while not time travel was lateral sideways stuff.. cool

What IS time..? Not even einstein knew this so we are free to speculate
[though he did show it is a variable of velocity near lightsped..dilation]

Love to hear from you. SF buff

Frequency was a good movie about talking though time and changes that could be made.

I liked how it showed the physical toll that time travel could take on a person.

I LOVED Terminator but it reminded me of West World which I also loved.

Darko just wasn't my thing at all.

The orginal Time Machine was good.

12 Monkeys was a dissappointment to me.

I really enjoyed Sliders, at least the first couple of seasons.

    Yes bro

Darko was a thing you had to be a darko to get.. lucky you.
You got it but did not like.
I would have pushed he learning card up her butt.

Original Time machine was idealistic but well done.
The eloi REALLY neaded him or they would have been *F####D*
    And he knew it.

How was 12 monkeys a dissappointment? please say.

Sliders was classic SF paratime stuff.. been arround 20 years before sliders poped up on screen.
    Well done for first effort.
    But where is second effort?

    Groundhog day
Is a masterwork. Time and comedy.. and IT WORKED.
    Briliant movey
'I am a god' he said.. stuffing a cream bun in his face.

For me 12 Monkeys just failed to deliver. It was all sound and fury but not much substance. As I tend to dislike sound and fury, I disliked the film.

What do you mean about where is second effort?

And have you been watching some of these new time shows that popped up this season?

    New Amsterdam
    The Sarah Connor Chronicles
    Journeyman

    ?

Ok.. On 12 monkeys thats petty much a subjective thing.
You like it or you dont...It had a 'quality' which some liked and some did
not. [maybe your sound and fury] I thought the premis carried it past the idiocy of the future society 'leaders'. Some did not.
Some were put off by the lunacy of Pitt and the 'lunatic fringe depiction of time travel.' Agree ,, was not pretty.. lol

In second effort i meant a new wave of 'paralell worlds movies'
I mean they allow endless arenas for great stories.
Ie.. one where German wins the war aka Man in the high castle by 'P K Dick' or proteus operation by 'J P Hogan'
Or even just a real cool Dean Koonts story like 'Lightning'
    The options are endless

    Yeh have Sarah connor chronicles
Journeyman sounds like lift from journeyman 'Time/adventure game'
Amsterdam have not heard off. will look these up.. thanks.

Jumper was out recently. It was okay but it failed to make me care about the leads. At some points action happened so fast I couldn't keep up with it.

I think jumper was .. well. A load a crap.
    lol
    Entirely uninteresting despite the premis.
'how can you make teleportation boring.. just watch jumper.'

    other raves... ..is cloverfield garbage..'
Is Serenity and summer glau HOT? [yes]
Was riddick a furion or was it that he has no hair..lol
What will the remake of 'the day the earth stood still' be like.
how many terminators does it take to change a lightbulb.
Why were the aliens in war of the worlds so stupid.

My son, who has long dreamed of teleportation LOVED Jumper though. LOL.

I think J.J. Abrams should be slapped around for Cloverfield.

Serenity was great and in it, Summer Glau was great! She is also great in The Sarah Connor Chronicles and she was pretty good in one of my fav TV shows The 4400.

The rest I either don't understand or don't have an answer for.

Did you see the original TV series Firefly that Serenity was based on? Had great possibilities but Fox pulled it and didn't even let them finish the season!
