Research chemicals (2-ci in this case) should be handled with great responsibility(as in no overdosing or constantly using them) and should be used on special occasions. As for psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, and MDMA, it's a 3-4 day minimum. Though it's always good to lower tolerance more by taking a break. For ketamine, I'd wait at least a week. Shame on your friends for spreading this awful false information on brain damage. Know your facts before you state them!
Going to second(third, fourth?) a bunch of things said here. 2Cs are still a somewhat unknown element. There are risks involved with taking drugs with limited histories. But they seem to be relatively safe. HPPD seems to be the worst concern. MDMA certainly has the potential for long term negative effects if taken frequently at high doses. Waiting a month here is highly recommended. As for LSD, there's no evidence of any damage from repeat use. I personally took it about every 3-4 days for 5 months one summer, long ago. No long-term effects, though it certainly made for a very interesting and life-changing summer. 3 days seems to be the limit though, more frequently has extremely diminished returns. But certainly no worries from doing more often then once a month. Shrooms probably best less frequently, limit 1/wk. Less often will produce more profound results. Though I know of people using low doses every day. Mescaline similar. DMT/ayahuasca is basically safe to do as often as you like. Many members of the Santo Daime church use it once a week or more, for their whole lives. With no discernible psychological or neuropathological harm.
