Throwing paper away.

It seems something so simple as throwing away a piece of paper is done is many different ways,

Some like to rip it to pieces. (Myself included)
Some scrunch it into a ball
Some just fold it
Some just drop it into the bin

Which one do you do,.

 

I found your question very interesting. I think that I usually drop it in the bin.

 

It varies greatly by the contents of the paper and the distance from the can.

 

all of the above. stacks of paper just get dropped in. i also set them neatly in my wastebasket in my office, because it holds more that way. i rip them up if there is something on there that i want to hide, like a credit card number for example. i ball it up if i'm throwing it at the trash. if i'm in no hurry and just throwing one piece away, i sometimes fold it repeatedly until it's a tiny cube; this only happens if i'm talking to someone or otherwise distracted, i don't really realize i'm doing it until after i've done it.

 

I mostly just use Hip Forums paper. Even though it's user disposable, it lasts forever.

 

I flatten my boxes wherever possible - And "Remember to Womble" (/Recycle)

if not burning it then ill just put it in the garbage ...except for important ones get shredded first


have to be careful with the shredder though,,,,its so much fun you start shredding good stuff too

then you start trying to shred a bunch at the same time...to see how much it can take before jamming...then paper clips and staples...next thing you know youre re-shredding the shreds

 

I tear them all up. INfact this week my teach gave me all my old homework back fromt he past 2 years and asked if i wanted to keep it, and i said YES, so I tore it all up into tiny pieces, ONE AT A TIME IT TOOK AGES

 

If there is pigment on the paper you can' ball it up. Folding works best.
If you are 5 feet away you can' throw a flat piece of paper. Putting it into a ball works best. If you are in a hurry just putting it in works. And what is quicker than not folding it or crumpling it? Doing nothing to it.
And if it has private information what is the best way to keep it private? Tearing it up into pieces. There are more examples but I could be here forever going over every scenario.

 

Seriously, I just drop it in.

 

Surely burning it would consume a lot of oxygen from your spaceship and fill it with smoke. Hopefully you will not be my pilot on my next trip home to the moon when Jane calls me a lunar-tic. .

If it has personal data on it I’ll put it through the shredder otherwise, I’ll crunch it up into a ball and toss it into the trash like I would shooting a basketball
