Courthouse - I went barefoot into a local courthouse with my mom because she needed to pick up some new tags for our camper.
Amusment Park - It's nice when it isn't scorching hot.
School - Meh, everybody just seems repulsed by the idea and wants to make fun of me there...

This thread made me take off my socks; and it's got to be like 40ºF in my room.

Its better to get your feet real dirty than a nice pair of shoes, you can clean the feet alot better and no permanent damage is done unlike what might happen to your shoes, especially if theyre new or really nice.

As far as boldest places going barefoot I enjoy going to Church barefoot.

The one filthiest places that I enjoy enjoy walking barefoot is through the City barefoot to and from work.

Playing golf barefoot is when my feet get the dirtest.

Well we just need to get things to the point where people can feel comfortable to go barefoot whereever they chose and people will just accept it and not try to put in their two cents about it, I mean its nobody else's business if youre barefoot or not and they should just keep their anti-barefoot opinions to themselves. Most places oughta just be happy that they get people coming there and contributing to their business.

I'm kinda new to the wonders of barefooting, and since I'm shy, it takes a little bit for me to get up the nerve, but I have been to a coffeeshop and to the gas station ( at the pump and inside) barefoot. I always take my shoes off once I get in church too. Last Sunday, I noticed a woman looking very disapprovingly at my bare feet in sunday school. Oh well.

Maybe she needs reminding that Christ and his disciples (as did all in those times) removed their sandals when they entered a house of worship, as they were in the presence of God and shoes were considered unclean.

What better way to show one's spirituality than by humbly presenting yourself to God on bare feet?! I'm not a church-goer anymore (but I am still spiritual in my own way), but if I ever went back to worship I would undoubtedly do it barefoot.

It's sad that in the place where people should live by the examples of their religion's basic tenets such as "love thy neighbor" that there would be such attitudes. I guess it happens wherever you go nowadays.

beating a dead horse .... why the hell do you have to dress up "in your sundays finest" anyway. couldn't one worship god in sandals/barefeet, shorts and t-shirt just as well as in a smothering suit ?

I don't go to church anymore and quit believing in god for reasons I won't go into.

There's always a cocky response that some in the religious community have ready. I heard a preacher on the radio once tell a story about a father who didn't like his sons's long hair. The son told his father that Jesus had long hair. So, when the son asked his father for help buying a car, the father bought him a donkey, put it in the driveway, and told him, "Here. If you want to look like him, you can drive like him too."

I lost my shoes while I was on the road over the summer in Yellowstone and was barefoot for about two weeks and ended up being barefoot in Denver Colorado going on a ghetto mission trying to score up some nugs for the long ride, climbed mount el dora barefoot, huntsville Alabama bare foot, philidelpia barefoot, parts of New Jersey(actually Camden is the only place that really scared me, barefoot walking in Chicago, Raleigh, Detroit ive barefooted it in a lot of hazardous places that had glass and such spewed about-
    - the only thing that worries me about going barefoot though and stepping on is (and this goes for the a$$ holes on Dead lot who shoot smack and leave their dirty rigs on the ground and its not cool) -- dru g needles definatelly scare me the most

i always think i'm going to hurt my feet. i once walked home from school barefoot. it's like a mile through the village. i stepped on several rather large rocks, but my feet weren;t all that dirty. my house though-whoooeey, there is some dirty floors up in there!
i would like to spend awhile in evanston this summer, bummin around sleeping on the beach during the day, etc etc. i hope to not require shoes while i'm there

I think ya should be able to go barefoot wherever you want, I mean why is it anyone else's business if you go barefoot? I think people shoud mind their own business and live and let live.

That's evidently a religious asshole deciding to be a prick to someone that he doesn't have to be a prick to, just because he's got a stick up his ass about something that's really none of his business. Does long hair make a person "bad"? Who the fuck is the father to tell anyone but himself what kind of hair to have? To withhold assistance just on the basis of the kid wouldn't live his life according to his father's ideas of what is good or bad... that's just fuckin' sick. I'm so glad I had cool parents who didn't pull that juvenile fuckin' religiously-pious bullshit.

So much for religion making a person moral. All it does is make them BIGOTED and ARROGANT and TYRANNICAL.

    ^ blackie!

no one really notices around here. it's too damn cold to be out wearing anything less than gymshoes with socks. ik. The library is okay, i think i even went in the dunkin donuts once with bare feet. i stepped on a fading cig once. people should consider smashing them out like civilized beings.

Cool that you took the time to do all this for yourself, and others will likely benefit too. :)
